usc is a bit of a wild card because they have top end talent. Iowa may struggle to score. I’ll take iowa in a close relatively low scoring game

If Iowa can keep stringing together 7 minute drives, it's going to be a long night for SC.

Lots of open receivers running around for Iowa despite them being a fairly conservative, defensively-minded team.

The stats they showed about USC's Air Raid offensive efficiency improvement were pretty eye-popping; usually doubling or tripling last year's averages. Their defensive mediocrity tonight though is a reminder that the Air Raid is not a comprehensive team philosophy, and relies on someone coming in and competing internally for where the talent and focus goes.

Iowa has four 4 star recruits and 1 five star recruit in the last four years

Just good coaching and player development. Iowa despite a population of 3 million puts out a lot of good football players. I wish WSU would start recruiting there for LB help
