Only got to see the first half last night but that's the best 3-point shooting I can remember by the Cougs. 8-8 to begin the game. They missed a couple of layups but couldn't miss from deep. I knew when Gueye banked in a straight on 25-footer to beat the shot clock it was going to be a crazy night. Gueye a perfect 9-9 from the field, the team shooting nearly 60% for the game and 58% from 3-point line. Relatively easy win over the Beavers. One more home game left....Sunday vs. UO.

Interesting stat line. Gueye. 21 pts. 0 boards
I noticed that, too. You would think Mo would've grabbed at least a couple of rebounds but DJ and Jaki did a nice job of collecting the boards. There weren't a lot of missed shots last night, so that's part of it. I'll just choose to be impressed with Gueye's shooting & passing. We all know he's a very good rebounder.

I couldn’t watch last night sounded like Smith is going heavy minutes with his best 5 and didn’t go to the bench much. Think this is sustainable and can we make a run in the P12 with this approach? 19 yr olds recover quick but the conf tourneys are a different beast with all the consecutive games.

Not sure Smith has much choice but to go high minutes for the starters. Right now there is a big drop off with the bench.

I was unable to watch the game was anything mentioned about Diongue? is he injured? Seems like a game he could have got valuable minutes.

I didn't hear anything about Diongue. When Gueye picked up his 2nd foul right before halftime, Big Jack came in for the final minute. Regarding the bench, I actually thought Smith brought in some backups a little early last night. Mullins, Housinou, and Darling all came in midway in the first half and OSU immediately went on a little run. I was happy to see the first team back in to stabilize things and not let the Beavs get back into the game.

Smith said in his post-game presser Diongue has a hand issue of some kind and hoped to have him back Sunday. Couldn't tell how optimistic he was about the return for Oregon.

Darling's spin move was nice. He had a good pick as well but wasn't able to finish on the breakaway.

Houinsou didn't have any eyepopping moments, but 0 turnovers 11 minutes. Still has a tendency for not so good decisions but hopefully progressing in that area. He had a block in the 1st half where he did a nice job using his length with both arms up on a big without fouling.

all i see are empty seats...

wtf do students have to do better than watching their team play? Its two hours, I'm guessing they spend more time than that watching porn every day. Geezus, let them in for free at this point, athletic pass or not, just get asses in seats.
