Leach would never recruit Tate as a Qb . Ever.
Why would you think he could do something with this offense?
Listen, I don't mean this to sound like I'm talking down to you, but Montlake isn't going to be in meltdown mode about anything WSU does for a long time.
Not an Air Raid match. Chip would make sense.
If a far superior QB in Minshew didn’t cause a “meltdown”, why on earth would that slacker?
Tate has amazing ability. Some of the plays he made vs us at home a couple weeks ago were phenomenal. His arm talent alone is crazy. NFL scouts will be drooling over him. I'd love to see what Leach could do with a spring and a fall with Tate. Won't happen but would love to see it.

I would love yo see Tate for one year command the air raid. What would defenses key on. Max. Boobie. Tate. 9 receivers. Make it happen
He'd have to clean up his mid-range passing skills, but the guy has a cannon and the legs to make Husky safeties lining up 20 yards away pay for Lake's genius. For a different reason, I don't see a transfer to WSU.
If I was him I'd declare for the draft and hope for a combine visit. Beside Elway, Rodgers and Mahomes, I don't think I've ever seen someone live with an arm like him. With a little fling he can throw it easily 60 yards.
Are we talking bout the same tate? He is very inaccurate in his mid range throws. He went from a Heisman front runner to an average qb because he wants to be a drop back passer. He is Jake Locker

Tate obviously needs lots of coaching when it comes to passing. However, his raw ability is undeniable. If Lamar Jackson from Louisville gets drafted where he does, I'd think Tate would get drafted before the 4th round.
Everyone knows Sumlin runs a form of the Air Raid ??? & had to basically scrap it mid-way through the season cause Tate isn’t a true passer. Like most cannon armed running QBs, their touch & decision making isn’t consistent enough for Leach’s Air Raid.

Run zone read and throw to the backs. Grow it from there.
His legs make him a threat. Not just because he can run it, because being able to run it loosens up the defense.
I get what some of you're saying....but go watch some east carolina tape from the previous two years....minshew had many weaknesses (accuracy was one of them) too in that crappy version of the air raid. Coach Leach makes a big big difference.
Wow if he can make Tate an accurate passer then he is the qb guru of all time surpassing the likes of Bill Walsh.

I know. Both have four letters . But since there are a bunch of QBs named Khalil that threw you off and didn’t know who I was talking about.
The article I read said he's eligible for 2019 with 2 years to play. He could enroll in January and have the spring. Seems to have a good arm and can move around and run when he needs to.
