TCU sure looks like they could hang with anyone in the top 4. Baylor would have been an intriguing team to see in there as well although I think TCU is better. Bummer. Final 4 is cool but hope it gets expanded to 8 sooner rather than later.

You might have had a good agruement until you said TCU is better than Baylor.....

Head to head means more than anything!! Baylor beat TCU. Nothing, whatsoverr to say here. Why else play the games?

The team getting screwed the most is Baylor..... Ohio state lost to an unranked team.

But yes, 8 teams would be better.

I understand that argument I just think that TCU is better right now and would beat Baylor comfortably if they played now. That game was months ago.

Expanding to 16 feels about right but you are correct as we know from the hoops Tournament.

16 what they should expand to, and just dump all the other crap bowl games.

8 first round bowl games, 4 2nd round bowl games, 2 semi finals, and the championship. We would still get 15 "bowl" games.

Totally agree. I think 8 teams is the best format.

This yr, had they licked either big 12 tram, they would never hear the end of it.

If they go 8, nobody is really gonna be squawking about the 9th place team who got left out.

I also agree TCU is playing as well as anybody right now.

TCU lost by three points AT Baylor. Given that it is widely acknowledge that home field is worth three points, losing to them by three on the road was a virtual draw. When you look at the entire body of work for each team over the course of the entire season, TCU was a touchdown better than Baylor. Head to head is important and in terms of paper championships, Baylor has a better argument for the Big 12 championship than TCU does. Then again, WSU defeated USC in 2002 yet we were considered co-champs. The playoffs have no rules that state that a team needs to win its conference so it really doesn't mean anything regardless. You can bet the SEC doesn't want that to change. They'd love to screw everyone else over and get two teams into the playoff. If Baylor didn't want to get left out, they shouldn't have choked against West Virginia and they shouldn't have let Texas Tech hang around. TCU shouldn't have played so poorly against KU. That gave the committee the excuse to let Ohio State jump past them.

Go to 64 let them play 19 games so fans can sit home and live their lives through 20 yr old kids. Hell Ole Miss proved they should be in a playoff as did AZ, Wis, Miss St and Michigan St

That and the fact that the Big 12 is the one major conference that does not have a championship game. OSU destroying Wisconsin and the lack of a true champion killed the Big 12.
