WSU FB and WSU BB have never received a marginal bail out call by an official at games end like Stanford did.

I don't feel too sorry for the Ducks. The #3 team in the country should be able to stop a .500 team that's backed up to its own 5 yard line with 2 minutes to go and only 1 timeout. Stupid targeting by the all-american DE (the proper call) helped Stanford, and then another one in the same drive. I thought the PI needed to be called....whether or not WSU FB and BB never get those kind of calls.

I remember, I was one of them, though technically in was a "monitored" suspension. They wouldn't allow me to post until they reviewed my posts first for Wulff party line correctness (i.e. Blame Doba for the disaster).

Nice to get the win. Still not as much fun to watch as they used to be.

Don’t know what to make of the Pac-12. Never imagined that week 6 against OSU was going to be meaningful in deciding how good we are. Still not sure it is. The next 5 weeks could be brutal.

Seriously, I’d like to think people are actually watching the game today rather than their phones.

I have so much PTSD about WSU football that I am trying in general to stay away from here during games if anything positive is going on. It feels that the moment that I type "great pass!", our QB, whomever it is, immediately throws a pick. If I say, "man....the defense is looking good", they get shredded for two touchdowns in a minute and a half. I know that's dumb.....but this team has been scary to get excited about because they've proven too often that they are going to let us down.

I'll take the ugly win all day long and I hope that it's a step in the right direction for the future.

We all need to remember that even the best teams under Leach had trouble winning conference games on the road. Our talent margin is never at a point where we should gloss over road wins. Cal isn’t great, but they put up 450 yards at TCU and UW, and they lost a tough game to a good Nevada team.

Should we still be nervous? Of course, but with JDL at QB, we’ve been toe to toe with every team we’ve faced outside of USC last season. Rolo’s silly goal line blunder vs. Utah State and JDLs injury that kept him out of the 2nd half vs. SC and at Utah have muffled what could have been a 4-1 start.
