UCLA was awful a couple of years ago too…until they weren’t.

That UCLA team would destroy this Arizona team. That UCLA had a decent offense, and finished the conference at 4-5. This Arizona is bad at offense, and will finish the Pac12 season at 1-8.

Play calling is not good. Those outside runs haven’t worked - especially with McIntosh. Delays off tackle have been our big gains, and I think some screens would eat them up.

OK, crazy post-game euphoria time. We need Utah to beat the Ducks, need OSU to beat ASU, need OSU to beat UO next week and, of course, need WSU to beat UW. If all that happens, it's a 3-way tie for the division and WSU has the tie-breakers, and we play in the Pac-12 championship game in two weeks with a chance to go to the Rose Bowl.

And they gave Utah a tough game last week. I'm not going to minimize this win by the Cougars no matter who it was against. They earned it.

Was at the game last night. Arizona isn’t as far off as you think. They’ve played most of the season with their 3rd string QB, and they’ve definitely improved. If they can find a QB, their offense could be dangerous. They have a lot of well designed running and misdirection plays. You can tell they have an NFL coach. They were able to capitalize on our defense in several key situations. A lot of New England Patriot wrinkles when the defense over pursues.

That said, they’ll probably move on from him. If you look at their team though, they’ve made significant improvement throughout this season, despite the catastrophic QB situation.
