Official Game Thread Cougs vs. Trees

We need an inside connection to the band leader and the person making the overhead music choices at Martin... they obviously peaked in 1986. It's now 2021, almost 2022, college kids don't listen to AC/DC or Run DMC anymore. Honest to God it's getting embarrassingly outdated. Just heard the intro to "Crazy Train" for the 50,000th time. I went to WSU 20 years ago and they were doing it then. Someone please assassinate this dude who will not stop playing 80s rock and rap

Nobody wants to hear the current music though

I still see us winning despite refs and that 3rd down overthrow. If we can get guys THAT open this late in the game...

I’m just happy they stopped playing “fat bottom girls”

As usual the O has gone AWOL in the 2nd half. Borghi had 10 carries at half, now has 14. JDL was 11-17, now he’s 14-24. Blocking - which was never great - is practically non-existent.

30-27 Stanford with half the 4th quarter left.
Cougs are in 4 down territory.
This game was over if that PI call was not made but can't do anything about it now.

wOW....4TH DOWN ALREADY

Crap ball into double coverage. Literally chucking it up. That’s crap qb play.

Next snap is 20 yards running backwards to escape the pass rush. Good lord. Run it, throw it away, anything but that.

Shouldn't be this way, but we never recovered from that bad PI call. Left it up to the judges and that's what happens. 4 minutes to get it right...

Fair enough. What are you thinking?

We could slow things WAY down... go back in time with some Gordon Lightfoot, Roy Orbison, maybe Bread
A friend of mine is originally from Canada. A long time friend of his happens to live next door to Lightfoot. A few years back, my friend was at a Lightfoot concert at at small club in LA.

So, after the concert he goes up to Lightfoot, introduces himself, and tells him that his best friend is his neighbor. Unbeknownst to my friend, at that time, they were having a neighborly feud.

Lightfoot gets all animated and starts shouting "You tell your friend...." and berates him for a few minutes.

I tried when I worked in that department...I was shot down.

I'm sure we'd all love to hear more details about this part of your life...?
TLDR, I worked in the department that owned the responsibility of running the music, and I attempted to bring well-needed updates but they were not exactly heard.

I know every conference thinks their officials are incompetent, but P12 is just another level. This is not a "they're out to get us" comment... it's a "how is this even possible for either team" comment.

I go back and forth between "incompetence!" and "shaving points!"

So are these guys like 80s grads? Are they getting paid royalties for AC/DC or Run DMC? Any insight into why they got locked into this era of music and are so clueless they think it's still what kids who grew up on The Chainsmokers and Kendrick Lamar want to listen to?
