Official Game Thread Cougs vs. Trees

So are these guys like 80s grads? Are they getting paid royalties for AC/DC or Run DMC? Any insight into why they got locked into this era of music and are so clueless they think it's still what kids who grew up on The Chainsmokers and Kendrick Lamar want to listen to?
There would've been no Chainsmokers on my playlist, haha. My playlist would've been up-to-date, with good classics involved.

I think they refuse to believe there's a problem. Jock Jams are "family friendly." There needs to be better communication between the band and music ops. The speaker system needs to be re-fixed. They know all this, but I genuinely believe they just don't care. WSU should really try to focus on pushing to be one of the bands in the conference and feature them more. Always comes across that in stadiums in the south you hear a lot more band then house music, too.

I blame Rolo for the Win. !!!

Wow...what a finish.
A reminder to everyone that Coach Shaw always states that it's NEVER a fluke when you win a ball game.

I agree this time and the last five against the Trees

I know every conference thinks their officials are incompetent, but P12 is just another level. This is not a "they're out to get us" comment... it's a "how is this even possible for either team" comment.

I go back and forth between "incompetence!" and "shaving points!"

One day, when Im the Pac 12 commish, there will be private investigators tailing all the refs. Im convinced they’re on the take.

I went to WSU and an SEC school. The latter was shocking bc they actually had modern-ish music plus a couple of classics. WSU, by contrast, felt like quintessential Uncle Rico; like they peaked in 1986 and had never left Martin Stadium since then to discover there's more out there.

It's just baffling how bad it is. Like it could all be fixed between two game weekends.

Cougs win a classic despite not having Woods for most of the game and not having McIntosh for the balance of the 2nd half.
Need both these guys back to beat BYU next week and that game is winnable based on the Coug's recent performance.

are you smoking rocks?

How many did he drop in the bucket?

He had that overthow and missed on the out pattern on 4th down...but he's a Fng Freshman!

So what. Make the play. I don’t care if he is a redshirt frosh or not. P5 qb’s make that throw. Especially the timing of it. Mike Riley had a saying, “competitive greatness, being at your best when your best is needed.”

JDL shows flashes. He also makes bone headed plays and shit throws. He has to clean up the rest of his game fast. No one cares if he is a frosh besides you. Make the throw.

17/30 is not money. It’s bad.

do you think he will be 17 for 30 when he is an upperclassman?

I don't get the bitching either. He made plays at the end to win...and had a drop in the endzone by Moore. In fact, I think Moore dropped another one in the endzone...or close to it

“Do you think he will be 17 for 30 when he is an upperclassmen?”

Said every UT fan about Guarantano….

Can he get better? I hope so. Would he be the first qb I’ve seen that didn’t improve on 17/30? Nope.

If you are going to be the qb in an offense that is qb centric you don’t get to miss many big plays - freshman or not. His deep balls suck. His decision making is average. Of all the WSU qb’s I’ve seen, he isn’t in the top half for accuracy. In a very pedestrian conference where everyone is mostly average, maybe we should wait to define him as “electric” ? He has to get a lot better. He is not above critique or criticism with his 57% passing performance, victory or not.

And speaking to the media about people hating on Turd, stop. If Turd or Chun won’t step in and tell him to shut it, I will. He isn’t helping anything saying things like that.

Do you sit by the keyboard with a box of kleenex and a bottle of jergens when you bash 18 year old kids?

Or do you reserve that honor just for whoever the Cougars current HC is?

No question about it. The NBA Playoffs are rigged. Destined to go 7 games, because of all of the TV, gate and concession revenue. Now, I truly believe that this P-I call was rigged. Someone is paying that ref to throw the yellow.

No question. It's fraud.

Where's 60 Minutes when we need them?

There were a few drops in there. Moore had 2, I believe Jackson 2, Harris 1. A couple throwaways but just the drops becoming catches would lead to an efficient 22-30 (73%). Some passes probably going the other direction as well. As he gains experience hopefully the throwaways drop as well.

what TF did this clown think he saw?

A game-changing call, for sure. Stanford would've have had to punt and were down 11 late in the 3rd quarter at that point. Last week, it was Marsh called for the phantom PI in a critical situation that kept OSU alive. UW was gifted a PI vs. UCLA last night that kept a vital drive alive. Pac-12 refs apparently have no clue what PI is and call/don't call it on a whim at least once a game. Fortunately for the Cougars & Bruins, they overcame the horrible untimely calls. WSU nearly didn't as the penalty completely fired up a sleepy Stanford offense at that point in the game.

Glad Cougar

Come on Biggs. He’s already one of the top-3 QBs in the conference.

And you know that the talent rising and falls in the conference. It is possible to be top 3 and not very good. It is also possible to be top 3 and drafted at the end of the year. Which do you think it is or closer to?
