has been added to the line up. The 6-5, 320-pounder joins Cade Beresford, Jarrett KIngston, Syr Riley, and Blake McDonald as freshmen additions to the O-line. In terms of size alone, this appears to be one of the better freshman O-line groups.
On the d-line, Michael Van Beek, a 6-2, 285-pound walk on, has been added. We'll see if he sticks, as WSU without a doubt will continue recruiting interior d-linemen that fit the scheme (see Lamonte McDougle).

Looks like a really good late pickup. He has some nasty to him. Here's an article on what went down with ASU. Apparently in the process of taking a visit to UCLA and the coaching changes they pulled his scholarship.

Old Herm can be cantankerous. Oh well, ASU's loss is our gain. You have to like this line up ...

Mayginnes 6-5, 320
Beresford 6-7 275
Riley 6-4 365
McDonald 6-5 330
Kingston 6-5 266

Great find, Ferris!

Another example of the respect CML carries among high school football players and their parents. McGinnis, a long-time ASU commit who took an official visit to see Chip Kelly's program at UCLA, chose to walk on at WSU.

That's big-time.

Coach Paul Wulff might've given this kid two scholarships to suit up for the Cougs.

He won't be a walk on for long.

Hamilton is one of the Top 3 HS Football Programs In All Of Arizona.

A affluent & talent rich area of AZ, They would laugh at WIAA Football. Great Get. GO COUGS

Still too early to know but this is not a good look for the Herm Edwards experiment

So glad we picked this guy up and he can replace that Huskies script on his helmet with the iconic Coug logo. That is definitely a step in the right direction. Welcome to the family Hunter!

I grew up in Spokane & have watched tons of GSL Football & WIAA Playoffs at Albi. In the past 10yrs GSL Squads have been in a Semifinal like 8 Times. That tells me Everything.

Watching these kids in Chandler & (Hamilton & Chandler HS). Zero comparison.

Arizona is an open enrollment state so you have a handful of super teams. The top 5 teams in AZ would probably beat the top 5 teams im Washington, but the top 100 AZ teams would lose the majority of games to the top 100 WA teams.

wulff would never have gotten him to answer the phone

Wulff would never have made the call because linemen like Mayginnes simply didn't exist the entire four years The Turd and Ballsack were on the recruiting trail (can you hear the tiny fingers of Erictile D and other aPaulogists banging away on their phones/laptops?)

Yep a rookie type coach with limited personality will have to go for B+ or A-- players and hope they develop. You need good walk-ons..actually even as this program is much more developed needs a good walk-on or two.

I hope the kid is like Bosch, Eckland even Dahl. As Leach said he needs oline depth as several of the players in the past three classes have left and there is a for the new players to step up.

What would you like me to say? Yes, Eckland, Dahl, Williams, Rodgers all were horrible. Bosch and Middleton sucked and Salmonson....well he was out of his league but functional. Geez I feel so much better. Thanks

Just spill forth whatever comes out of that vacuous head of yours. And Dahl wasn't a Wulff recruit. And a reminder: when Leach arrived he had a roster returning six scholarship O-linemen, but he said only a few of them deserved to be on scholarship. What part of 6 and 40 still escapes you?
