And the approach is pretty awesome. You’re spewing a lot of BS about things you don’t understand. But that’s par for course for you. You know where a landing approach can go with a lot of restricted airspace? Over a river that runs right by the airport. You know where a helicopter corridor can be with a lot of restricted airspace? Over a river.
Why not watch the actual videos of the crash before closing your minds and explaining it away as an accident?
Or listen to the interview the pilot gave to a podcaster a day before the crash?

Why is still the question. Pilots in general, and military pilots in particular, and pretty damn good at following procedures and protocols. The helicopter had a transponder on so there should be altitude data of that at least the portion of its flight prior to the collision. The helicopter was not maneuvering from what I've seen. Nor have I heard anything from the control tower telling the helicopter it was too high.
There are obviously a lot of avoidable variables that came into play that led to this incident.
- It appears that the helicopter was flying at a higher altitude than is mandated for that corridor
- They were conducting a proficiency training exercise using night vision equipment in one of the most restricted airspaces in our country. Is there a strategic or tactical reason for this or just lack of thoughtfulness?
- The ATC redirected the American Airlines flight from Runway 1 to Runway 33 to allow for more efficient landing times for other aircraft. A common practice that proved deadly here.
- There was only one ATC working those flights instead of the two ATC's that is recommended (but not required)
AOC is claiming it was due to retaliation for Trump proposing to cut funding. Maybe she’s right, maybe she’s wrong. Jeffries is out today calling for riots in the street to fight Trump.

When you see an attack on DEI that suggests that dwarfs are part of the problem....you can't take any of it seriously. I have no love for DEI and I'm glad that my company doesn't have any DEI policies but it is objectively moronic to infer in any way that hiring of dwarfs was an obstacle that kept the government from meeting its hiring goals. The videos show two points of light that approach and then turn into a flash of light. Hard to draw conclusions from that, beyond that there was a crash.
It's pretty easy to see that there were mistakes made, and lots of opportunity for an accident. So why not look at that and recognize that an accident is far more plausible than any intentional act?
Better yet, why not wait until there's some actual evidence, rather than buying into Twitter conspiracies?
