First you said blue states had lower death rates due to vaccine acceptance than red states who tend to be vaccine hesitant. Which one is it? Masks were effective ergo lower death rates or vaccines worked ergo lower death rates? And lets save time immediately by pointing out that not once did you state it was a combination of the two. Curious why it bothers people when other people wear masks. It has zero impact on your personal space, in fact it’s better if you don’t want random people talking to you. My guess is people are less likely to strike up a conversation if they have a mask on.
Sorta seems like if it bothered you when someone in another car was wearing a seatbelt. I don’t even notice and I don’t care. To each their own.

Folks feel they have to defend the vaccine and Fauci and masks and all the other bullshit because they refuse to concede the fact they were duped. If they could be duped with that, then their whole world comes crashing down.

I actually agree with this comment. Sitting or walking outside alone, driving in their car alone, wearing a mask. However, maybe there are other factors at play (smoke from the fires, I dunno).
I'm not going to get in on this dead horse beating discussion, but I believe that quality masks did and do some good. You can't tell me that COVID particles, no matter how small, just flew through masks unimpeded as if they weren't there. And I'm glad I got all my jabs. Done with them now. Had yet another acquaintance get COVID a week ago. They are not hospitalized, but are quite ill. Vaccinated? Pretty sure nope.

People had legitimate concerns about getting the vaccine and the tyrannical mandates imposed by the feckless, spineless governors implementing them. But voicing those concerns openly, you better be prepared for a barrage of insults thrown your way. I specifically remember saying that having the antibodies from contracting covid prior was just as good as, if not better than getting the vaccine. I was absolutely crucified on here for saying it but now, the CDC FINALLY admitted to this. But whatever...... some of y'all don't want to question sh!t and that's fine. I've grown up and worked in the medical field for most of my life, but I have to be honest with my feelings on wearing masks socially. It bothers me. I have no idea why, and I fully acknowledge that it's a petty judgement on my part, but I can't be more than a casual acquaintance with someone who masks up at work, out to dinner, at a party etc.
I guess I view it as 1) they're either sick and shouldn't even be there in the first place, 2) they're paranoid about catching something, or 3) they're deeply rooted in politics and want to send a message (socially validate) to everyone.
To each their own, and I would defend their right to wear masks as they see fit, but I can't be closely connected to people who do.

100%. My wife was in a medical setting and tested 3-6 kids daily for Covid with her N95 mask on the entire time for 2+ years without getting Covid.
Buddy of mine and his wife just came down with Covid. They were both vaxxed, although after all this time not sure how effective it still is. She's sick but recovering, he just got it and says he is really sick. Kinda worries me, his health is not very good to start with. I tested myself this morning since we have been hanging out together and I am clean.
It just won't go away. I guess there is yet another booster out or coming out. I may or may not get it.
