Gave verbal to Utah today. Supposedly going on LDS mission, according to those who know him?? We shall see......

If he's going on a mission straight out of high school, then he's essentially a class of 2020 recruit. Basically Utah got a commit from a high school sophomore. He commits, heck he'll probably even sign something at a high school ceremony on LOI day. But, Utah won't use an LOI on him, and he'll be recruitable for the next 2.5 years.

Yes, we should still keep an eye on him but I am afraid that ElC is right. Those post mission guys seem to invariably flip to BYU after they are done with the prosetylizing term of service.

Nope. Not with the hard not oversigning in any particular year. I am glad that he didn't pick WSU. Being Mormon, Utah and BYU are big draws for players.
