As the ripple effect of the Big 10 spreads, why not have P5 conferences partner with a smaller conference to get a 12 game schedule? The Mountain West is a natural fit for us. We could do 2 home and 1 away game with these schools. Travel is short and those schools are already in our geographic footprint. Or we can play all 11 conference opponents with one OOC game.

Play a seven game season

If the CA and AZ schools are out, it could be every school for themselves.

Play the 11 teams closest to you, FCS or FBS, and just get your games played. It doesnt have to be pretty.

No play the North and one out of conference game or 1 game against the south.

Gives kids chances for recovery if they do get covid, play every other week.

At minimum play the north, 3 teams from the south, plus playing Idaho seems like a no brainer for a pre season game.

Not much left of the North if Stanford and Cal are out.
