Why would a slug of minor teams, cast forever into media obscurity, sign up to help pay “damages” to former players on the water polo team?

Time for an adult in the room to step up and face reality.

Reality is that the “damages” to these past players should be levied in direct proportion to their team’s media value. Players who played on high profile, highly viewed teams lost more money than players who played for, say, Idaho.

Those teams have very recently sorted themselves into visible groups. The power teams should pay more.
