From a brandx poster. Quinten Post visited last week, has also visited Miss. State, and visiting G-Tech this week. Good looking player. A bit awkward but good skill, 3 shooting, and length. Seems pretty versatile and plays with good energy. He's #10 in the highlights.

With the programs he's visited/visiting I tend to think Post is a long shot but since Smith has recruited Europe maybe that could give us some kind of advantage. Another 20 minutes of a recent game.

The wild card is that he didn't grow up in the US. So, Miss. State, and G-Tech, etc., may not mean as much as a player who grew up in Florida, for instance.

That levels the playing ground a bit. Pullman probably isn't going to be held against us as much as it does for US players. Trusting who they are sending players off to is also a big piece in international recruiting. Smith has obviously recruited a lot of players outside the US and especially Europe for bigs. International recruiting should be a priority for us.

Regardless of stars, we are in the hunt for more guys than I can ever remember in a year. No way this is anything but good.

And Germany is cold - so our weather would make him feel right at home.

I have a hard time keeping track of the recruiting calendars and cycles between sports these days - exacerbated by the new FB portal, etc.

Thanks to the transfer rules/portal FB recruiting for 2019 continues. BB recruiting never seems to end, as here we are in June hosting recruits. Baseball? 2019's class was signed last Fall I guess, and not a peep since. Which this year there wouldn't be since CML was fired, but in the past you didn't seem to hear anything. Or maybe it was just not news.

One other Baseball thing - in FB and BB (I think), even if you offer a year or two out and had commitments, the dotted line isn't signed until during/after their Senior season. With Baseball, you sign at the beginning of their senior year, long before the season starts. That seems odd to me, particularly as a former HS baseball player - the difference between my Jr and Sr years in terms of my ability and maturity was huge. Nowhere near college-quality talent, but still a big leap.
