Regarding Falk "freezing"....

Reminds me of Mackey Sasser...mlb catcher who could gun down a baserunner but had a mental block when it came to getting the ball back to the pitcher. He would sometimes run the ball back to the mound.

I'm a Yankee fan... LOVED playing the Mets back in those days... They called them the "yips". There are guys now that call that "Mackey Sasser disease"...

Geezus, don't say that. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. Having had the yips playing golf, it is complete hell.

Ironically, what got me out of it was rushing up to the ball and taking a swing before I had a chance to think about anything - eliminate the problem between the ears and let muscle memory and instinct take over.
