Just to correct the record: Donald Trump took all of about one hour to agree with all conditions proposed by Joe Biden to meet for two debates. One would be very early in the process, one would be in September, IIRC. They did meet for the first debate and Joe Biden shit his pants there, an amazingly incompetent performance. Soon after that, Joe Biden dropped out of the race (actually was forced out of the race by Dem elite power brokers) due to abysmal poll ratings.
So tell me, which candidate is actually ducking the second debate?
BTW, there is no reason to commit to debating Kamalalala at this point as she is not officially the Dem candidate yet.

Even with all that, you can bet that Trump with debate whoever the Dems end up with on the top of their ballot. And that JD Vance will gladly take on whoever the Dems draft for second position.
Do you think that either of the Dem nominees will have the guts to do the debate on Fox News? I say they will run for the cover of CNN or one of the other left wing media.

As far as backing out of the debate, I would call Joe Biden a pussy if he didn't debate Trump and agree to it like Trump did at the RNC debates, and if Trump left because he slowed down drastically the last two months and dropped out and Biden didn't debate say Nikki Haley, I would think he was a pussy as well.

A Presidential Debate can be scheduled and held just as soon as both parties have an official nominee for the office. At this point in time, which has great significance to the passage of time, and the passage of time is very important, what we have is an official nominee for president and a presumptive nominee for president. Given the shenanigans already done by the Democrat party in forcing out the man that had earned all of the EC delegates, I see no reason at all to assume that if Harris poll number slip below what Biden had that suddenly there would be an open convention in Chicago. Trump is right and absolutely justified in waiting until the cheating party (Democrat party, incase you were confused) actually verifies who their actual nominee is.
