We're going to blow the doors off of the Aggies,
but that's not on my mind.
What's on my mind is this:
We're 7-1.
We're ranked.
We have a chance to be 11-1.
Just the above, should be enough....
but it's not.
Fast forward....
Dickert and team run out of the tunnel Saturday night at 7:25pm, and look up at the crowd, Martin Stadium, home game, 7-1, and ranked.
And what do they see?
They see a ton of empty seats.
Why? Let's look at the reasons why they're going to be a ton of empty seats with a 7-1 team, ranked in the CFP # 21:
- Not a big brand, big name opponent.
- Pullman is hard to get to.
- It's a night game.
- It's going to be freezing.
- It's super expensive, (for a lot of fans, especially "the casual fan" to grab a hotel for the weekend. Even RV'rs, it's not inexpensive.
- It's cheaper, easier, and warmer with a huge 4K TV at home. Plus, you don't have to go very far for the comforts of home.
Am I missing anything else? No beer and wine sales?
Besides winning, what is the most important thing to CJD and our players?
Fans in the seats. But, unfortunately, it won't even be close to a sellout.
That's what's on my mind.
