UW: Petersen stepping down

In fairness, that thread is deceptively titled "Peterson stepping down.. Lake takes over". That could be about anything.
In fairness to 95, he likely ignores Ed and if you ignore someone, you won’t see a thread that they start, no matter how big it grows.
Judicious use of the ignore function does make the boards much more tolerable.
I hope he has no illness that has caused this decision. His run was productive, and he set up Jimmy Lake to take the job. For the former, my rivalry keeps me from being thankful but for the latter, I thank him.
I'm sure it will be a total accident if the NCAA announces sanctions within the next year or so. It is unlikely to happen, so I assume that it won't, and that he wasn't pushed in any way. I'd like to think that it was simply a guy who did well on his own terms and decided that the satisfaction going forward wasn't what it used to be. Not hard to believe when your fan base is moderately delusional.
