The best leaders don't try to convince you of their brilliance, or their awesome command of the situation. Instead, they tell you that they are doing the best they can, they appreciate the support of their team, and they are constantly trying to learn from their mistakes. Gardner checks the boxes well and must be pretty easy to work with. Add to that his ability to think quickly before speaking and it is clear why he is doing well thus far.
