A suspect is in custody from this morning’s shooting in Pullman that left one man dead and another injured.
23-year-old George Melvin Harris III of Pullman has been arrested for his alleged involvement in the shooting. Pullman Police say the Washington State University student that’s being treated for gunshot wounds at a Spokane hospital is expected to survive. The names of the victims haven’t been released. Officers say Harris was found at the scene with a handgun. Detectives are actively investigating the case to determine details of the shooting.
The victims were found near a large party where hundreds of people were gathered on Myrtle Street on College Hill. Officers were responding to a noise complaint around 12:30 when they heard several gun shots before locating the victims. The victims were found about a block from the party on Lybecker Road. The man who died passed away at Pullman Regional Hospital.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to contact the Pullman PD.

According to my kid there was a second report of gunfire simultaneously at a different location.
She and her friend heard about the shooting in question and being the sometimes dumbass kids that they are went to where the party was. They showed up just in time to see the ambulance leaving.

The man who died in this morning's shooting in Pullman has been identified as 23 year old Liban Barre of Kent. 22 year old Washington State University football player Brandon Gray has been identified by Pullman Police as the other shooting victim. Gray is in serious but stable condition at a hospital in Spokane. Gray is listed as a redshirt wide receiver on the WSU football roster.

The young man killed was the shooters best friend since childhood. Even had the same birthday. Shooter got jumped by by some guys, best friend came to his aid and kid pulled out a gun and started shooting randomly. Gray was a bystander.
