Payne has 80 yards playing the scrubs. Watson only got 41 yards on 9 carries. I was expecting a 100 yards game from him.

Hopefully they can build on this. I find it hard to imagine we knock off the better teams in the conference with no running game.

There is no air raid coach that runs the ball. It is a qb centric offense and so goes the qbs night, so goes the offense.

Good luck ever consistently getting a feature back. Those guys want stats and carries.

Good luck ever consistently getting high end receivers. Those guys want their attempts.

Pass the ball around a zillion times, only 1 kid has their ego boosted. Which is a prob for today’s athletes.

Unless you have tons of NIL $$$ or are a blue blood school, all the air raid will ever make you is a punchers chance. And maybe that’s fine.

Watson has been less than 100 percent. Unless he breaks a long one, he’s not going to get the carries to grind out a 100 yard game.
