Xavier Ward

Also lost in the shuffle in the QB discussion, what is his status? I had thought he would be considered a top candidate for #2 QB at this point but coaches don't seem to be talking about him too much and I don't think he suited up for the bowl game. I know they were redshirting him last year but with the discussion of wanting to bring in at least one more QB and talk about giving Gabalis a scholarship, where does X Ward stand?

His non throwing shoulder was hurt for the bowl game. He has a ton of upside/potential. Looking forward to seeing him in the Spring. He very well could slide into the #2 slot.

He’s extremely young still (18) & pretty raw. He was going to be a true high potential project for Rolo & Co. Not sure they would have gotten him there however. Didn’t see any real player development going on within their coaching.

Morris might be able to carbon copy his approach with Cameron Ward with Xavier.
