Its almost like the fuskies should be in a lower conference.

To each his own. Glad you liked Chaz's football play-by-play and Zeppos' Coaches Show talent. I did felt his strength was Basketball.

Hard to replace a Bob-Rob. I just thought they could have made a better hire, and they settled for average. Nothing special.

Again, to each his own and that's why they sell Subaru's and Motorcycles!
Subarus are awesome too. First car I bought outback V6. Car was fun, bulletproof , along with the best snow machine I’ve had.

Satisfying loss in a way but losing to LOWLY Rutgers, if UW lost to Rutgers, kind of hurts WSU's 4-0. Now have to hope that Texas Tech, SJSU keep on winning, or the UW loss to Rutgers will really hurt WSU 4-0, bowl selections, CFP chances, etc.

I would have rather UW lose to all the good teams, and beat the Rutger's, Northwestern's, Indiana's, Illinois's, Kentucky estate, Duke's, Vandy's, etc, so as to not hurt WSU's CFP chances, if WSU goes 11-1, etc.
I want the uw to lose every single game and let WSU take care of themselves.

Its almost like the fuskies should be in a lower conference.

It also wouldnt surprise me to see UW 4-8.

As great a game day coach and great decisions by DeBoer, he sure left the cupboard bare?
I’d say likely. I tried telling anyone who would listen UW was about to crawl back into their mediocrity hole for another decade. UW is like the cicada, every once in a while they come out and make some noise, but there’s about 7 years of slumber in between.

There are zero “guardrails” on NIL in the NFL.

Zip,zero,nada.

There is a collective bargaining agreement that covers employee compensation, working conditions, grievance resolution, etc. of NFL employment, but any outside compensation a player earns on his own for appearing in a Downey commercial or Movie is not subject to any regulation by the NFL, nor should it be.
Agreed ... the guardrails come in the form of tge portal which is affected by NIL. And let us not pretend they are getting paid based on name image or likeness. John Mateer xoming out of high school didnt have a name inage or likeness .

And someone like Cam Ward isn't bringing money into the university because name image or likeness .

UNLV didn’t offer it, some unnamed assistant coach supposedly did. If we’re putting this in employment terms, this isn’t the employer making an offer. It’s not even the manager doing it. It’s more like getting an offer from the shift supervisor- he’s got no authority to make offers or to implement it. And, if it’s not in writing, it didn’t happen.
That is the problem with NIL. There is no contract. It is based on someone's word .

The kid is in a bad position . Damn if you damn if you don't.

I have to believe an offer was made. So if he stays he doesnt get his money. But because he left when he did, he will be seen as a problem, a quitter and will he do it again.

They need to clean ip NIL and look at an NFL model where there are guardrails. An NIL cap. Two or three players can be franchised and if say Cam Ward was franchised before 2023 and he goes to Miami, WSU gets comped into their NIL funds for developing Miami's QB

I lived in Tacoma in 2017. Was at a sort of Coug-friendly bar for the USC game. Place was mostly full of Cougs. This one dipshit was there cheering on USC quite loudly. I asked him if was from California, and if he attended USC. No and no. We were losing at that moment, and I had a good buzz going. Fisticuffs were narrowly avoided. Thankfully we won.

Another game. forget who, same bar. This mangy dipshit whose quite cute GF was bartending (why she was with him is one of those mysteries) was cheering for the other team because their QB was on his fantasy team. Ripping him off his barstool and pummeling him was narrowly avoided.

Moral = I think I too will relegate myself to my couch. Already have my Coors Light in stock. I'll have to start looking for the 'ol Crimson lager going forward....
$16 a Pac12 (see what I did there) at south hill Safeways.

The most delicious way to support the Coug Collective, and depending on your level of consumption, the most profitable for the collective as well.

I’ll add that I’m no longer interested in watching with people who just use the game as an excuse to drink, especially when they don’t even have the sense to stop drinking high school beer. Also don’t care to watch around people who have no idea what they’re talking about - like the guy who sat behind me for the Texas Tech game and kept complaining about how Leach ALWAYS called QB sneaks and that’s why he was a bad coach.

Between the people you mention, and the ones I exclude, it’s best that I watch games by myself with a 6 pack of my choosing…which I probably won’t finish.

Now get off my lawn.

I’ll occasionally go to a bar to watch a Coug game but I’m not a fan of paying $8/beer. I’m also pretty particular with who I watch with at home parties. I get annoyed watching with people who are casual fans and are confused as to why we are playing Mtn Weat teams instead of Cal, UCLA etc. so I’m more then happy watching big games solo so I can yell at the TV without judgement.

Completely different topics.
Got my WSU Alumni Assoc. e-mail newsletter, actually impressed by all the watch parties listed. Even one in YakiVegas, pretty close to where I live. I could almost walk there. If there is any interest on the Board, I can copy and paste the (long) list from my e-mail.

Sacramento State? I choose not to opine, other than 30,000 would be a more suitable stadium size. Link below.

Boise (is not a) State prediction thread

BSU is a grind it out team. They are good at that. I think we get a TO or two and some good TFL. I also think we contain the edges better than most, which will help. I think BSU scores in the 30’s. The real question is how our O does against their D, which to date has not been as reliable as their O. If we score 40, we win…and may not need quite 40. I’m calling it Cougs 41-37.
