Yeah it’s weird how we didn’t give up 700 yards in this AC. Almost like it might have had something to do with the fact that UW had the best QB in their history and we were missing two guys in the secondary 🤷

Yes, I too saw the thread title and figured we would see some gay porn. Or an invitation to meet in some Men's room. Kurt - as a poster who has to put up with never-ending shit because of some random comment(s) I made a month or year or years ago, I can guarantee that you will be haunted forever by your admission of giving or getting anal (perhaps both) to celebrate the Apple Cup victory. One issue I have with Dickfore is that you can beat him where no coach can get beat at WSU. On the whiteboard. It is too easy to draw up plays that put his defense in jeopardy. 702 yards in the Apple Cup is the worst, most embarrassing performance by a WSU defense in the history of the Apple Cup. Unfckingacceptable.

Too many fans give him credit for being a nice guy like that’s all that matters. 2-7 in league play gets most coaches fired. This idea that he has done great things for WSU? Underachieving at your job, failing to win more than 2 league games, one of which was against a 1 league win team… And then no bowl??? In a season when you needed to show well? Nope. That sucks ass. That isn’t good enough.

As for this year…. The weakest schedule I have ever seen WSU play. Ever.

What offensive scheme is this??? Air raid with a 50% passer? Leach rolled over in his grave. Wildcat??? Wtf is the offensive identity?

The defense should look much better this year. The scheme against lesser talent on opposing offensive lines should be much more sound. But if they can’t stop the deep ball and can’t stop the BSU RB….. Could be a long day.

I never said I believed it. Never. What I said was we needed to wait see if it could be confirmed because there was reports of it happening, yet the city employee denied it. So with two conflicting stories, it seemed best to me to wait a while before stating definitively that the story was true or untrue. Unlike some folks here that will completely lap up whatever narrative/agenda/lies that the MSM puts out there just because they want it to be true. And I have several times listed some of the time that the MSM has ejaculated all over themselves with stories because they also want it to be true. Like Russia collusion.

Now, for the record, I doubt that it has happened that a lot of the Haitians have been eating pets. And I say that because to this point there has not been any verified incidents of it. Maybe some will eventually emerge, but I doubt it.

I'd rather not play the Apple Cup, but it does generate money and a lot of interest in the school and program, unlike any other game, so it probably makes sense to continue for a while. The problem I see in the future is the talent gap between to the two teams will widen more than it has. Yes, the UW has always had a talent advantage, however being in the same conference allowed us to beat out some MWC teams and AAC teams for recruits, that will no longer be the case. IN 5 years, the UW will be receiving 50 Million + from the Big 10, the Cougs will be lucky to receive 10-15 million a year with their new contract. It will take some serious "Billy Ball" and coaching to even stay in the game in a few years. WSU's record in the Apple Cup isn't great, but we have managed to keep the game close and interesting, most of the time, but there have been blow outs. If the game is less competitive will people care?

Patrol, I agree 100%, and for the reasons you noted. Actually, looking down the road several years, I can see UW's position deteriorating further and us being able to maybe bump the 30% up a bit. They gave up a lot of inherent advantages when they jumped, and with a delusional fan base that will demand that the coach be fired every 3-4 years as they stumble along (barely making it to low level bowl games and getting boat raced by the good teams in B1G), I don't foresee their path forward getting any easier.

We've historically won 30% of Apple Cups. UW is not going to be anything more than a 5th place team in the B!G, and that will be considered a good year. This notion that they're going to rise up and become a superpower is ridiculous. They'll always out recruit us, but they'll also have the same merry-go-round roster management problems that all programs face. If you're a B!G caliber recruit, why go to UW and face more travel, fewer fans, less NIL, and not be centered in the heart of the B!G conference? This probably isn’t settled until the fuse is lit on the ACC. Seems like this move was either a case of hedging our bet or showing the future homeless ACC teams we have a legitimate conference for them to consider. Either way this is probably a more desirable place to be than putting all eggs in one basket and hoping for an invite to a rebuilt ACC in the future. If you don’t get that the. You are truly F’d.

I heard rumblings that UNLV was looking at the AAC.....Taking Tulane and Memphis out of the AAC will be a pretty big hit to that conference. Tulane is projected by Massey to run the table and Memphis is the probable G5 representative in the playoff if they beat Tulane to finish the season. If we get those two, the appeal of the AAC drops somewhat. Get UNLV and Air Force to get us back to the Pac-10 (ish).
