Apple Cup STAYS with WSU

NEVER sked the left of lib seattle trash again, EVER !

Keep the Cup because (1) Cougs won the LAST game, and (2) as a reminder of how the dog's left and tried to take all the money !

New voice of football tries to talk TOO much about any and everything - just STOP !

PAC 6 is a good start - must get UNLV, that's a MUST ! DO NOT go east of the Rockies for adders. Forget about Cal and Furd !

IF PAC must go into TX, take Texas State. Great start to the Coug 24 season !

Umm Texas State is not a bad way down list of back up choices. But Texas St is probably not going to add enough value.

The top choices, VALUE wise, is UNLV, but UNLV tied to the MWC BOTTOM DWELLER NEVADA, THAT HAS LITTLE TO NO VALUE.

Memphis, Tulane, Liberty(12-0, MAAC), UTSA, are the top choices.

If PAC 8 does not take, get the top choices, and instead gets Texas St, North Texas, etc, PAC 8 would be less attractive scheduling alliance partners with ACC, Big 12, and would get less CFP money, less media money, have less chance to merge with either ACC, Big 12, would get worse bowls, would be more like the BSU version of MWC, with Bottom Dwellers that would drag the conference, programs down, hold then back, etc, and would not be the best, premiere, semi hybrid P5 ish, G5, best of the rest conference.

Luckily the PAC 8 is going to try to get Memphis, Tulane, Liberty, UTSA, the top, best choices, instead of getting the lesser choices, like you seem to want.

Feels weird………..

We’re just barely starting to get an idea of who these teams are. Most of the MWC has played an FCS team and a body bag game that don’t tell us much.

We travel to Boise and Fresno back to back, and neither of them is a pushover. Are we going to get the Boise that gave up 40+ to Georgia southern, or the one that almost took down Oregon in Autzen? Fresno played tough at Ann Arbor. We took care of Texas Tech, but we’re not sure how good they are. We took care of UW…same thing. We left points on the field against both. We can’t afford to think we’ve got an easy road the rest of the way - we don’t. Right now BSU’s big back is drooling over us, knowing how we’ve struggled with the run up the middle.

Regardless, we shouldn’t be looking at BSU or Fresno yet. SJSU is 3-0 too. They might not be a quality opponent, but we just don’t know yet.

Some of the things you said are true, some not, some partially true, not.

1. Texas Tech is at least semi good. They have put up AMAZING numbers, against ACU(Who is at least semi good), and even a 66-21 score after the WSU, TT game, even if against a crap team, is AMAZING.

2. UW on a scale of 1 to 10, is probably a 5.9, 6.3, 6.5, 6.7, 6.9, 7.3

3. UW's RB was supposedly supposed to be unstoppable by WSU, and yet WSU SHUT HIM DOWN(Had 2,3 semi bigger plays, but overall had about 3.3 yards per carry, and about 33 to 43 to 53 yards. UW's RB is supposedly semi comparable, semi similar to BSU's RB.

BSU, Fresno St, is not going to be easy, but WSU probably should, will at least beat SJSU, probably at least either Split against BSU, Fresno St, or just barely beat both, or just barely lose to both, and if WSU goes 4-2, 5-1, 6-0, the rest should probably be pretty easy.

That does not mean that WSU can afford to take that for granted, not show up, etc.

But Dickert, Team doesn't hardly ever take teams for granted, not show up, not focus, etc.

Dickert, team is all about focus, trying best, going 1-0, etc, each week.

But that's Dickert, Team, etc, us fans, can, should expect to do well vs SJSU, BSU, Fresno St, rest of MWC, as WSU, Dickert, team is a good coach, likely good team, etc.

How did YOU celebrate the win?

Cork, Galaxy, Donagol, Belfast is our itinerary.

Was trying to explain "the troubles" to the wife, and as I did the whole Anglican church thing..
what a mess.
Black cab tour will explain it. Those guys are amazing. I didn’t know which side our driver was on until after the tour was over. He talked of being burned out of his house as a boy. But he didn’t say which side did it.

We were there in 2019 and it was surreal thinking that neighbors were fighting neighbors - but that the US wasn’t that far removed from similar strife.

How did YOU celebrate the win?

If you have an opportunity to jump the train and head a couple hours north to Belfast, you won’t regret it. One of the most interesting places I’ve ever been - a black cab tour is a must.

And then go about another hour and get some Protestant holy water at the Bushmill distillery. Way better then that Jameson swill

Rewatched the end of the Apple Cup

Sure looked like Edson was held on the 4th-and-1, but still managed to make the play on Rogers. Thorton deserves a lot of praise after being a weak link last year. He's had a really good season start. Loved the instant reaction of the mutt fans. "What happened?" and I think "WTF".

lol of course he was! Did you miss the end of last years AC there was like 4 tackles on their 4th and 1. It’s what they do.

Rewatched the end of the Apple Cup

I liked how the umpire kept putting time back on the clock, so our plays only took 2 seconds each. Then, when it was all decided and there was nothing left for UW’s hopes…he took it from 34 to 16 and let the clock run.
Yeah I made a joke when they jumped offsides…offsides, defense, please put 10 seconds back on the clock.

That was ridiculous. There’s literally not a play that you can run outside of a spike that only takes 2 seconds.

OT - Seahawks and Raiders win

Good end to a great FB weekend. Seahawks on a FG in OT, Raiders on a very late FG after Min
shew drove then down earlier for the tying FG. Good job Gardner.
Still only worth 12 points on my fantasy team. He needs someone who can put it in the end zone.

Fortunately I have Marvin Harrison jr, who had a pretty good game in the first 10 minutes against the rams.

Rewatched the end of the Apple Cup

So I rewatched the end of the game just to get a better sense of the insanity of that final 1:30. One thing that happened that pissed me off at the time but forgot in the midst of everything else is how quick the officials were to blow plays dead and reset the clock to give the mutts more time. We snapped the ball at 1:04, ran a play and somehow only used 2 seconds. In the 1997 Rose Bowl....they wouldn't give us credit for spiking the ball in 2 seconds. I still want my 2nd second back.

It happened all game but it was amazing to see the lack of discipline by the mutts in that final minute. Three penalties in that final minute. Valdez for UW might be player of the game. He kept two of our drives alive with offsides penalties where he made contact with the center. Special level of stupid to manage that feat. The one shot of Jedd Fisch looking out onto the field after one of the penalties with the look of "what the f#ck are you guys doing?" was pretty hilarious.

After seeing so many games where WSU snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, it was pretty refreshing to have the mutts return the favor.

Hey Biggs, Loyal, where you @? I’m buying!!!

We’re also undefeated, about to be ranked and for the first time in our history,

Whaaa? How long have you been following Cougar football? That's all I have to say about that.
As much as I’d like to pile on Uber for his clown show on the other board, reread his post. He’s saying first time we have a chance to get into the playoff. He’s right but there’s a long way to go, and we basically have zero room for error with this schedule. @ BSU will be a bitch and there are teams all over our schedule that could still give us fits.
