D. Blithers, why blame Maddow or Joe S? I like Joe and watch him for his conservative fiscal views. If you want someone to blame, blame my late mother. Since her first vote in 1952, she voted Republican, but she gave me a different compass.
My disdain for Trump began long before his rhetoric. In 2023, while remodeling my house, three Trump-supporting tradespeople learned I can't stand him. When I told them I had overextended financially and they’d likely only get 10 cents on the dollar, they were shocked.
I then asked for their vote for Congress. They laughed at me. I pointed out why they’d trust a failed businessman who stiffed blue-collar workers multiple times, only to be bailed out by his father.
As for Joe S and Rachel, they aren’t to blame. My Republican mother taught me to stand up for the less fortunate and not to discriminate.
Then there are my fatherly instincts. My daughters are the age where Agent Orange would pop in a tic tac and grab her by the pussy. The man has been found liable for sexual assault. If my daughter said Trump assaulted her, I would absolutely believe her. But I know some fathers (and have read political opinions from some fathers) who would believe Don Gotti before their own daughter... "honey "define sexual assault".
Finally, the voter fraud claims, the Capitol violence, and the inhumane treatment of pet eating Haitians go against everything my mother taught me about morality.
