Just incredibly disappointed in the entire defensive staff. D wasn't prepared at all to face UW. Blown coverages all over the secondary. Made adjustments, but way too late. I'd like to see an inspired performance in our bowl game. Yes we missed Armani, but our D is so much better than that.

Our defense hasn’t had a pass rush all year and the dbs are average at best. They have blown coverages all season.
Why would you think they are better than this?
This is a 4-5 team in Pac 12 play. They are 7th place, having lost to 5 of the 6 teams ahead of them. Why would we think the defense is better?

Tough los. UWs offensive line dominated the game. They have a very good offense.
Can’t keep banging your head against the wall though and expecting a different result. Bring pressure from everywhere. If they bust it in one play so be it. Terrible defensive game plan and zero adjustments.
But let’s blame the offense for a historically bad performance by the defense! Makes total sense!
Their defensive and offensive line dominated the game. Need a lot of work upfront on both sides of the ball in the off season if the Cougs hope to improve next year. Maybe it can happen in the weight room, and have to hope they can find some help in the portal, or via the JC route. A new OLine coach would hurt either.
