Chun needs to pony up some money and help Dickert hire a top notch staff. Guys who can coach, but also coaches these players want to play for. Dickert talks a lot about "juice," but this program has very little of it right now. Dickert needs to buy out the staff who aren't cutting it and hire new guys who can rescue this sinking ship.

Dickert should never have been hired. There is no day a Power 5 school should be hiring someone as green as him. 10 years from now after he has some P5 years under his belt and been around the block? Sure. Much better scenario. Hiring the guy the kids like? Nope.

That or give up his defense and allow a DC to implement a system. If they run Dickerts defense he may as well be DC too, what’s the difference? He’s in all scheming meetings, practices, and at all games obviously. His input, wether he had any or not this year with Morris, isn’t needed with a true OC. He spoke so much about being a CEO, but that needs to be hiring competent individuals and letting them do their thing. He needs to focus on building and retaining a staff, and recruiting. He needs to do something quick. I’d try to get ex navy coach asap as he’s buds with Atuaia.
What ties does he have to the state of Washington? And typically Im not a guy that believes connections will get you far. If Oklahoma shows up and asks to talk to kids, the WA high school HC is gonna let him talk to kids. But if you’re new to the state, no one knows who you are, no one knows anything about you, would it be helpful to have someone on your staff that has a strong reputation in state? Someone coaches and recruits trust? Someone whose brand name precedes them when they walk in?
Or hire more guys from Wyoming.
