I got to see the first impacts of Trump's threatened tariffs that are supposed to happen today. I had a construction project bid yesterday and the cost per lineal foot of 8 PVC pipe jumped 33% and will increase the cost for future residents of the subdivision by about $20 per month. I was told that the price bump was in anticipation of higher pipe prices when the project goes to construction in a month. #winning

Fun times! #trumpflation here we go!

Can’t wait to hear the cultists excuses for this shitshow.

But hey, at least people can’t put those scary words “she, hers” in their email signatures anymore…whew!

But we can look forward to cheaper American grown ag products since they will be slapped with retaliatory tariffs and won’t be competitive internationally. Glad I’m not a farmer.

$20/mo probably isn’t enuff to interfere with their fentanyl budget. Win/win?

After today, the most affordable exports from Mexico, China, and Canada will be meth, fentanyl, and pot.

Someone remind me - when was it that Trump was going to start reducing food prices?

I must admit that I thought that the Trump "revenge tour" would not be this pervasive. I thought maybe more important issues like running the country and dealing with minor items like Ukraine, Gaza, etc. would take precedence. But after 12 days, it just keeps getting worse. This latest news (below) about Musk's minions locking people out of their computer access is a bit scary. How can that even happen?

My biggest fear regards the military. Pulling decorated General Mark Milley's portraits off of the Pentagon walls? This is 3rd grade behavior. So what happens when Trump decides to attack Panama or Greenland or whoever, and Hegseth parrots those orders? Do the Joint Chiefs and the Pentagon in general do it? And if they say no, then what? He fires them and works down the chain until he gets to Trump fanatics who will carry out the orders? What's next - martial law?

The RFK Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard nominations may be where the rubber hits the road as far as the Republican fealty to Trump goes. Mitch McConnell surprised me by voting "No" on Hegseth. With his own retirement in 2026 pending, and being a Trump-hater, he may have finally found his gonads. Need a few more R's to find theirs.

Oh and "ICE Barbie" Kristi Noem in full tactical gear (the pictures I saw didn't show whether she was actually packing, if so dogs and goats everywhere beware). I mean WTF? Really? Although I don't quite understand how she can keep looking hotter and hotter.
