After a big return by Minnesota, we force a 3-and-out and rip off a first down in 2 plays. Off to a good start.
Well into 2Q now and offense is getting into a rut.. then a bad punt (25 yards). Starting to look like sleepwalking.
In bowl games, the biggest challenge in these bowls is motivation. gophers, with all their problems, at least had something to rally around, Cougs really didn't. Cougs can't let them hang around
If you had to guess which team was missing a dozen key players, you might say it's WSU.
There's just no scheme good enough to overcome starting backups and first-timers on the road. Can't get the run game going and not taking the dink and dunk.

Falk looks like a complete dolt: taking TWO sacks that completely changed the prospects for 4th down. Looks brain dead
it's just fcking crazy. you're well out of the tackles and all you have to do is wing it out of bounds.
you're one of the lucky ones. Cougs look about as pathetic as possible....they even score on themselves.

I say put Miguel in, at least he'll try. Barring that, Hilinski--I'd rather watch Tyler wing it and miss than Luke run around like a beheaded chicken and take sacks.
This offense looks so bad at this point, it beggars belief to think we're not throwing the game. Horrifically bad.
We lost to EWU. We lost to BSU. WE got destroyed by Colorado and UW, We are what we are. That is an average team.
WOW! Absolutely jobbed there! Cougs haven't earned the extra possession but (a) neither did Gophers earn the TD and (b) the booth agrees they saw "indisputable video evidence" that the Gopher player touched the ball and we recovered... next thing you know... "call stands."
And Minn converts. At some point, what is the D supposed to do? Your O is essentially taking a knee on every snap.
That 8 game winning streak came against some pretty poor teams. Put the Cougars up against a good team...or at least a team that doesn't suck....and we can't handle it.

Cougs have to hold off the Minnesota offense here and then WSU is in 4 down territory the rest of the way. Wonder how tired the Coug defense is right now.
Luke looks like complete garbage. Taking unnecessary sacks, hanging onto the ball for 10 seconds, throwing only to the experienced side of the field, not throwing it away...
