The biggest problem is the waffling and inconsistency. He says there will be tariffs, then delays. He says what they’ll be, then changes the rate. Even today he’s started waffling on the most recent announcements, suggesting there might be some flexibility.

The markets hate uncertainty, and that’s what he’s providing.

There could be a logic to it though…the hints at flexibility and pauses could create short-term bumps and some opportunities for profit.

I’m watching and trying to find the opportunity to profit, but I don’t have a lot of liquidity in my accounts for new trades. I’d have to sell to buy. But, the things I can get the most cash out of are almost certain to recover with increased stability, so I’d rather hold them. There are some underperformers I could dump…but it would be at a big loss right now, and wouldn’t net as much useable cash.

That said, I would like all you Trump lovers to justify this latest shit. We erroneously deport this guy and send him to the horrible El Salvador prison. An Air Force jet to El Salvador to rescue this victim? Eh, we will get to it....

Anyway, so the DoJ has already admitted that this deportation was in error. A 15-year DoJ veteran simply confirmed that in court and immediately was suspended because he did not, in the words of our Attorney General:

“zealously advocate on behalf of the United States,” Attorney General Pam Bondi wrote in a statement “Any attorney who fails to abide by this direction will face consequences,” Bondi said.

Geezus F-ing Christ. And I thought I lived in America. Oops - Amerika.

We are in some very dark times. Trump's policies are directly impacting construction prices and I may end up needing to lay off staff if this bullsh!t impacts housing the way that they are talking.
