Lower GDP means the economy is faltering, that people aren't buying goods and services. When people shelter in place whether on their own or mandated they are not spending money, and when that happens businesses go out of business, people lose jobs etc.

Our government, Donald Trump came out with PPP money to keep money through the system, people spent like no tomorrow, keeping our economy afloat.

I know of one industry that had their best three year run, profits at their highest level and got so much PPP money they are buying planes, 10 million dollar houses etc.

Then there was a client who had to always buy drinks for everyone after golf. 50k in credit card debt. Got 100k in PPP money , paid off his credit card and had 50k to put down on a new construction.

I know that is stimulus. That debt somehow goes in different bucket and somehow we don't need to pay it back .

AI generates information based on number of mentions, without much regard for the reliability of the source. It’s basically rapid crowdsourcing of information, and the digital expression of “if I say it enough times, it becomes true.”

It’s pretty much the same as picking your news articles based on the number of views and retweets. Sadly, some people think that’s valid.
