.....I am going to bitch about three things about WSU that has me pissed off at them.

1. Here it is three hours after learning about the WSU volleyball team getting to host in the NCAA tournament and the web site isn't updated yet with a story about it, giving dates and teams at least. They should have been prepared and had something ready to post within 15 minutes!

2. Here is the headline about the Apple Cup; "No. 4 Washington edges the season with 24-20 win over Washington State in Apple Cup". Seriously, edges? Did you even look at what you were posting?

3. At least I did already get an email saying that I can get volleyball tickets first thing tomorrow. oh, yeah! However, they neglected to put anything in the email about when, what time, where, and also importantly, who else will be there to play the Cougs!

Damn, I just get irritated when they do stupid stuff like that makes us question their competence.......

Preaching to the choir buddy. Our Athletic dept is incompetent, led by Charlie Chan (racial slur intended). I posted a while back about our bloated Athletic Dept staff, particularly in the Comm and Marketing and news areas, and I think I got - maybe - 0 replies? The F-ing score was 24-21. At least get that right. I'm never giving another dime one to my alma mater until Chan and Schulz are fired. But that will never f-ing happen.

And just to be a pig, our VB and Soccer teams are full of smoking hot coeds. Which reminds me of the several cutie pies I saw today in YakiVegas. At the dog park, at the mini mart, laundry room, parking lot, etc. All of them admiring my Coug parka. And my overall handsome appearance and budding porn stache. Still debating my winter beard. Hah hah!

And the mini mart gal was a young black gal who lost her wallet and asked if we could spot her a few bucks for gas. Shades of my catastrophe in Montana! I like black gals, she was pretty cute but G-d ring on her finger. So being the benevolent Coug that I am, I spotted her a few bucks. Let's recap. Teresa, Danielle, Ashley, Olivia. Pretty cute names. As were they.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't a #4 seed be more appropriate for a team ranked somewhere between 12 and 16, not the 11th ranked team? Which would earn them a 3 seed?

#17 Creighton gets a 3 seed above the Cougs? As does #13 Purdue?

I realize it won't always be 1-12 get the top 3 seeds in each bracket, but 17 getting a 3 seems like a jump.

But hey, its the Cougs and they'll be D2 soon enough, so who gives a shit right?

No argument here. But just let me say - I worked in Higher Ed for 28 years, 17 at WSU. None in Athletics, although I did really enjoy the interaction with Johnn David Wicker. Good guy. Did spend almost 10 in the private sector.

I get the disrespect card but we lost to two unranked teams in the last few weeks of the season so getting tweaked about whether we should have been #11 or #13 in the tournament bracket seems like more effort than it's worth. They gave us a good bracket to play in for whatever that is worth.
