I was comparing to boats, but I see your point. They say if you’re not shaking at the end of a run you’re not doing it right. Similar to other activities. Just throwing that in there for loyal.
Oh Gawd no shit. I had not heard that BOAT thing. Oh but we had some good times in the boats (we had 2, one she kyped off her ex that I stole her from who tried to kill me), and then the 19 foot Bayliner. Fun times on the CDA lake and river, Dworshak, Pend Orielle and Priest, Cascade, Roosevelt, etc. Oh and colder than shit Payette. No thanks.

Kansas has a lot of pretty decent sized reservoirs and it's a major recreational activity. The only downside to Kansas lakes is that on their clearest days, you can only see about 6" into the water due to the turbidity from all of the suspended silt. Swimming in chocolate milk. LOL.
As for noodling.....hell no.
Kansas City is a pretty decent place to visit. If you are into the bar scene, you have to hit the Power & Light District. Something like 50 bars in an eight block area. You can even ride a mechanical bull if you want to. If you are into the bar scene and want a hint of danger, go to Westport. It used to be a great place to go for a bar scene and I'm sure it's more interesting now than it used to be, but you don't want to be tripping over dogs in that area. They'll have you face down, a$$ up and wallet-less before you know it. Or that's what I've read. I haven't visited Westport since the 90's.

I'm a long suffering Mariners fan and just a fan of baseball in general, but my son kind of randomly adopted the DBacks as his team a couple years ago. So we went down to watch them in the Series. Really more of a bucket list thing for me, but fun to take the boy along. His first true heartbreak sporting event he's attended. Had to explain to him that will be the first of many. That's how sports work.
You guys are all soooo funny! That Dumb and Dumber clip is a good one - never saw the movie. The longer clip where he took the wrong turn is eerily familiar. And yes I believe I will hide my wallet in advance.
P.S. That noodling does look pretty nasty. But I've never known anything big enough to shove my whole fist in and I almost never came out fishy smelling. Contrary to popular belief. Although there was...nope, stopping here. No more stories.

Partially because football has become such a complete shitshow, I think some of the off topic conversations are way more interesting. There are, of course, numerous ways that things go off the rails, but frankly...what we're seeing on the field is barely worth talking about.
I'm looking forward to the next hearing on the 14th, so we'll actually have a topic for a few minutes.
Of course, between now and then we'll probably talk about how the Cougs looked a little better in narrowly beating Cal on the road, reviving our bowl hopes for a moment before they remember they don't want to play anymore and lose to Colorado and lay down in front of the UW train (which will be coming off of a loss in Corvallis).
At least hit up some bbq joints maybe Arthur Bryants and another one and let us know what you think.

Arthur Bryant's!!!!!! Yes, best BBQ I have ever had. We took a side trip up through that area for my buddy to visit the little towns and the family homestead his parents came from. Made sure to venture into KC for lunch that day and totally pigged out at AB's. Some kind of combo plate, pulled pork sandwich probably with slabs of brisket on the plate. Excellent, savory, outstanding, delicious!
I've never been but they are always the usual suspects on BBQ shows etc. Always wanted to try it.
Apparently they will overnight some food...but not sure how that would work nor would I trust the Fed Ex driver.
Pretty sure there would be a bite missing....kinda like the time I took a chunk out of Ed's wedding cake when I didn't know any better 😀😀
I can't imagine that next day BBQ would be anywhere near as good as same day, in person.
FOrgot to mention, although it isn't a big deal, that our KC side trip was on the OKlahoma State game trip. Also explored Fort Sill that trip, where the other buddy lived for a few years when his dad was stationed there. Good trip, bad game.

They had the stones to open a restaurant across from Jacks...and the Times rated it as better.
