Pleasantly surprised to see Lacy 1st team. But I also thought Hawk should have been 2nd team. Team success of UO and UCLA probably had more to do with Cook & Looney than stats. Glad to see Josh get the Most Improved....probably a unanimous selection for that award.
Congrats to both these young men....really good Cougars who have worked hard to make themselves worthy of awards.

As others have said the "Most Improved" award is kind of a backhanded compliment. Honorable mention is a nice recognition, but he was deserving of 2nd team over the kid from UCLA.
I think ten players on first team is strange enough but then they make eight of those players guards?

There were quite a few big guys were were bigger factors for their teams than Hawkinson was this year. I see that changing over the next two years, however. Kent deserves credit for finding a role for the Hawk. He would have languished as a tub of lard under the previous staff.
