A little late I guess since Game 1 has started.

I think the Chiefs will win but don't care if they do or not.

I think SF will win, but I am rooting for Detroit.

I can’t figure out what Baltimore is doing. They are a power team and they are playing into KCs hands. Weird how these teams see the boogeyman and stop playing the way that’s gotten them here.

Rooting for the Lions. The others have had their moments. Besides, Amon-Ra and Sam LaPorta won me a fantasy championship.

Man Lions choked it big time. Dumb 4th down calls, and the WR's, man. Talk about dropped balls.

Yeah the opportunity to go back up 17 and answer the FG was mind numbingly stupid. There’s a huge psychological advantage being up 3 scores and also answering SFs field goal. I like Campbell and the aggressiveness but you’ve got to take everything into account. You are on the road, don’t risk handing over momentum. That was what killed them ultimately and it snowballed quickly from there.

Chiefs winning opened up my Sunday on 2/11. I'm not going to listen to Jim Nantz lull me to sleep while seeing 7,000 camera shots of Swift, the NFL's love story.

FWIW, someone added up the time that Taylor Swift was shown on camera during the game and came up with 24 seconds. I personally find the whole thing ludicrous and just don't care about the whole thing. My wife (a Chiefs fan) is a little annoyed with Swift because she thinks that it's been a distraction this year for Kelce and his production isn't up to snuff..although he played well yesterday.

24 seconds and people are up in arms? I'm up in arms too - should have been 240 seconds!

It's more that CBS and the NFL have clearly been hamming it up for the storyline. She's apparently be flying back from Japan and will make it before game time, which we'll be reminded of plenty of times before and during the game. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a Vegas line on camera time, too. Just do the normal celebrity "who's here watching" montage and be done with it.

FWIW, I'm only going to watch halftime. The on-field match up isn't enough for me to turn the game on, especially with Nantz (and Romo) calling it.

Of course they are! The NFL is entertainment and she’s the biggest entertainer in the world. Why wouldn’t they show her? If it was my league I’d show her too. Now if there’s anything going on to keep the chiefs around so they get more Taylor screen time then F that…and sometimes it feels that way when you see the treatment they get, although most of the stuff Baltimore did Sunday was obvious and self inflicted. I have zero problem with it though I don’t think they go overboard with it. The first few weeks they sorta did but they’ve since toned it down.

I didn’t watch the KC game, but every article I read about it post-game had at least a paragraph speculating on whether she’ll show for the Super Bowl. One even analyzed the timeline - apparently she’s got 17 hours to make a 12-hour flight between the end of her show and kickoff.

I understand the market draw, and I don’t really care if they want to take advantage during a broadcast…but writing about it in their conference championship game summaries seems a bit much.

It's dumb that anyone cares about it. Of course, the Kardashians are lucky that there aren't more people like me. I've never intentionally watched a single second of anything that involves them, I don't know who is or isn't in the family and I just don't give a crap. When they were a thing, I'd see references to them and just be happy to be clueless. Too many people care about irrelevant people and that keeps them in the news.

The irony of the situation is that the people that are so pissed about Taylor Swift are actually the biggest part of the problem. People read the articles that mention Swift....bitch about it....other people go to the articles to see if it's true.....bitch about it.....others talk about it....go read the articles and bitch about it. The writers and publishers don't care about the discussion....they just want their clicks and people are doing that.

Right there with you. Haven’t watched any of the Kardashians, and before them, never watched Paris Hilton. Far as I know, she was the one who showed that you can be famous just for being famous - not for having any skill, talent, or bringing anything of value.

At least Taylor Swift does something. Whether you like her music or not, there’s no arguing that she’s a performer and gives her fans what they want. And at this point, it’s not via overt self-promotion. She’s reached the point that every media outlet, writer, and paparazzo - and now the NFL - knows that she’s a paycheck, so they do her promotion for her.

She’s the Howard Stern model on steroids - people who love her watch to see what she’ll do next. People who hate her also watch to see what she’ll do next. It doesn’t matter to the industry why people watch. Clicks = $$$. Simple as that. And she pulls clicks worldwide.

Players lost the game, not the coach. All The Lion’s WR’s had to do was their job, catch the freaking ball! They must have dropped at least 4 very well thrown balls.

Both can be true. As a coach you have to be cognizant of the situation. When you are on the road particularly a change in momentum can lead to a spiral. One side gets tight, the other side has a boost of adrenaline. Lions kick that FG to go back up 3 scores it completely kills SFs momentum as half the quarter is gone and they haven’t made a dent in the deficit. It’s a huge psychological shift for both teams and as a coach you have to have an awareness of that. That decision was inexcusable.

As a side note when I played soccer our coach always said a two goal lead is the worst to have. You feel comfortably ahead yet the opponent knows they are one strike away from a tight game. That third score is a psychological dagger.

I see what you are saying, but the players still have to play the game. I’ll side with “personal responsibility” every time.

Yeah dropping mutliple passes, including one that bounces off your chest and ends a promising 2nd half drive, speaks to personal responsibility IMHO.

Another loser old man outting himself here.
I saw that her screen time is .45%. So for a 3 hour game (probably less screen time with commercials) they show her for less than a minute in total. You could literally take a piss and miss her. Its kinda funny people are losing their GD minds over this. Who cares?! And if this bothers you to a point where it ruins your day you never get to call somebody else a snowflake again….ever.

Odd number goals are the most important

I'd much rather lust after Taylor Swift than listen to Usher. And I bet most of the TV and in person crowd feels the same way. Although admittedly I have never heard, or heard of, any song of his. And have no plans to do so. Ever.

Ok wait - I googled him and listened to some snippets. Yep confirms what I said above.

There's a very, very simple reason that I'm more likely to watch her show - with the sound off - than to watch or listen to his. And it's not because he's black.

I've seen him live, he puts on a fun show.

Depends what you mean by "beer." You said you're probably the youngest one here, so that makes me suspicious. If you bring Coors Light...get off my lawn. And take that swill with you.
He probably thinks beer means somethink flavored. I’ll have a plain Bud or a Kokanee thank you.

Good news - appears that Taylor Swift WILL make it to the Super Bowl. Japanese authorities promise she can make it after her concert the night before. $5 sez they will stop traffic and give her a police escort to the airport. Then an escort once she lands in Vegas. Should be fun to watch.

They will probably bring her in helicopter from the airport, landing at midfield. Not that this is all overblown, or anything......

Great. Still don’t care.

For like $50 You can stop traffic in New Orleans to throw a parade for yourself. Taylors got over a $B if she wants to stop traffic I’m sure she can afford it and I have no problem with it.
