Either way, when we look at how bad things are now - what hope is there that we turn a corner next year?
Offense is taking care of business. The real wild card is: how much will the offense shoot themselves in the foot for this game? Because we can survive a total failure of one unit (defense, every game), but that requires the other unit(s) to be firing on all cylinders. If they're coughing it up 3+ times a game, no matter what else they're doing, that's not firing on all cylinders (see UCLA game)
That side to side action is a good way to gas a defense

This is a team that scores 40 point a game. They're on pace for 28.
