A little late but worth the wait.
Cougs up 24-3 and paying back Oregon for that Mannion-led blowout in Pullman a couple years back.

This offense is HUMMING.
And this ST is just, well, what's the opposite of humming?
31-10 Cougs and the game's barely 1/4 over.
Falk is looking like a complete stud. But ask me again during the Stanford game when they shut all his options down and try to pound him until he hears footsteps. Hope we can overcome that.
Finally looks like a Leach team.
I don't want to make it even harder for P12 refs to make a living but there HAS to be some kind of consequences for getting scoring plays wrong, or getting plays wrong that directly result in, or prevent, a score. It should be an even worse penalty if it changes the outcome.Should have been 28-3, as it was a bad call on the PI on Lewis. Then, special teams have played great today,...........up until they gave up a KO return for a TD. So, the score is 24-10.
I have been really impressed with how good the catching and the blocking is this year. We are catching balls we NEVER caught under previous coaches - the surest hands I've seen - and the blocking on screens has been phenomenal.I agree. This is looking more like a Leach team. The game is not over, but they have made OSU one dimensional, as they need to pass more than they wanted now. The offense is blocking better. The team didn't come out of the locker room flat. All around, great showing so far.
Like I said, when I saw that kick developing I was watching the guys lose lane discipline even before we gave it up. We're still seeing that WAY too much even when we don't give up a TD.Actually, ST has played outstanding except for one play. I'll give you that the one play is huge. A great kickoff to start the game. Stopped a fake punt. Recovered an onside kick. On another kickoff, kept them from reaching the 20. ST is not there yet, but it is improving.

I guess we can take the improvement in bits and pieces though. Kind of scary that we've already given up 4 non-defensive TDs this year though.
There's a lot to be happy about right now but the defense is not one of them - not in this game. Not so far.
I hate it - we get up 4 TDs and the defense thinks they get a pass and can take the rest of the game off. A classic symptom of playing down to your opponent, which has gotten us in trouble for years. Fellas... the offense is doing yeoman's work keeping you off the field and you're still on track to give up 200+ yards rushing again? You're telling me you don't have to do your job because the offense is? Why can't all 3 phases of the game string together a complete game?
On that note, isn't it about time we get a return TD? Does anyone recall how many years it's been since we had a kick/punt return?
And is looking worse and worse the more points we put on the board. Including giving up 40 yard runs and bunches of first downs.Defense has given up 10 points and 155 yards in the first half.
No mercy, but...
my heart goes out to the Beavers because we've been there. They are just so bad.
However, Collins is starting to find his rhythm and the D is not responding well, so this game isn't over quite yet - never count the Cougs out when it comes to snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
Wasn't that one drive, though? And is looking worse and worse the more points we put on the board. Including giving up 40 yard runs and bunches of first downs.
It's their turn to be bad...We are out of the gutter...somebody else can live there.

That's fair. It was 2/3 of their half yardage on one drive and it looked ugly and undisciplined. But in light of it being one drive, I'm off the ledge.they had one bad drive.

You guys realize this could be much, much better. It could of been against USC. Hey, Mike Price at the half on radio. Tune in .

Coach Leach- great talker. At least he holds the same standards as the people here. Yeah, we got TD's... but they were sloppy TD's.
What more can be said? As close to a perfect first half as you can have.
OSU is in real trouble this year but the Cougs are doing just about everything right.
The only question is when will we see the backups for WSU in the 2nd half.
I'm guessing 4th quarter but it will be good to see what he has to offer and an opportunity to rest the regulars.
Great game
Great crowd.
Great job by the guys and the coaching staff today.
Leach won't be happy until they leave the field with 90 points, Luke has 650 yards and 10 td's passing. The RB's are averaging 7.7 yds per touch as well. Maybe they'll practice the running game in the second half? There's some Pac12 QB's slinging balls and doing good things out there. Perhaps Falk makes the Player Of The Week
This is looking like a Leach coached team. The cougs finally have a Qb with skills and leadership ability.

Please delete that comment before the whole fking thread get hijacked. geezus christ with you guys - gotta pull that sh!t out in the middle of the blowout win. stfu with that, would ya?Wulff stink takes a while to wash out, but now it's a Leach program.
Does CML sub in in blow outs? I seem to remember Harrell staying in for all 4 quarters in a couple of TT's.
