I am just not understanding our reluctance to roll out. Mateer is not a true passing wizard. Let him roll out.
I guess I have higher expectations than the rest of you. We are playing a $h1t schedule and aren’t dominant. We should be. We’ve now been stuffed twice on 4th downs. Our D continues to bend against MWC teams (yeah, yeah, they don’t break 🙄).
If sloppy wins against MWC gives you a hardon, all the best. Not good enough for me.
And the crappy tackling! First contact at or behind the line and they get 5-7 yards? Physical coverage because we are out of position or too slow? How can you all not complain about this D?

Should have punted it on 4th down there. Dumb call by Dickert. You probably go into half up at least 14-6 getting the ball first in the third. no need to risk giving them that momentum.
Why 28-0? We SHOULD have gotten a turnover EVERY play on defense. EVERY play on offense SHOULD have been a touchdown! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!!!!????!!!

Maybe if I accept the fact we are just another MWC school, I could better handle these games. But I guess I think more of what we have and are failing to use, than what we don’t have and are getting it done.

Who are you blaming? Our center snapped it off of his taint. Our DBs are in position and still commit obvious PI. Players gotta execute. We aren’t playing great and we still have a lead with the ball and a chance to go up two scores.
San Diego State mucks up the game. That’s why they are in close games. You can’t get impatient like Dickert did and get greedy. Pin them deep and make them go the length of the field. That was a stupid decision.
Yes and it's the mark of a good general to have battle plans that play to your armies strengths and minimize the weaknesses. And a good general adjusts to the conditions. Also quality of training matters. Do you really think all that is happening here? Don't you think there is some room for improvement among the coaches? It seems like there is a lot of denial here and anyone who criticizes even a bit of the coaching "hates the cougs" or "wants the cougs to lose'. I'm just thinking there should be more accountability on the coaching staff......This is more ugly than it should be.
In fairness, Arbuckle does appear to have his head back up his ass after a good week last week. Having a delay of game on the first play is…umm…not a good look.
I don’t have an issue with the calls. Parker needs to play less. He can’t run through an arm tackle and this OL isn’t going to open gaping holes.
Was just going to say, DS should be getting more carries here. Think his style works better for this type of game.
