USC and Todd McNair

I saw a tweet from Britton on the front page linking this article. Some emails that the NCAA have been fighting in court to keep from coming to light, were released per a judges orders. In reading this article, it says what I have been saying on here for years, Todd McNair and USC were railroaded.

Look at how quickly the NCAA has investigated Ohio State, Auburn, etc., with investigations lasting days or weeks. The NCAA investigated USC over four years. Yet, all it could come up with is Reggie Bush and his parents took money. They had information that the information that the two convicted felon witnesses were either inconsistent or lies. Yet, the NCAA believed them over Coach McNair and called him terrible things. If you read the report back then, the NCAA had no direct or even indirect information that Coach McNair knew. They just chose to believe a convicted felon.

Even some on the committee were not sure about the allegations against Coach McNair. I hope McNair wins big when this is all said and done.

NCAA is going to get their butts kicked

UPDATE: New offer out to Arizona ATH...

Washington State has offered Chandler (Ariz.) ATH Chase Lucas, according to his Twitter account. The 5-foot-11, 172-pound athlete is rated four-stars by Rivals and the No. 9 overall athlete in the 2016 class.

In addition to the Cougars, the Rivals250 prospect, rated No. 104 in the country, also holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon State, UCLA, Utah, Utah State and Washington.

Biggs are you out there ? O Line Questions

Just curious on what you think of our returning O Line since all the starters return.

Will they be an above average Pac 12 O Line or below?
Do you think they will be a bit bigger and stronger this season? Maybe average 315 to 320??

Finally what do you think of the depth/competition that has been developed for this upcoming season?

I know you love those big guys up front and have an opinion so I would be interested in your thoughts.

*** UPDATE: Wazzu to add Louisiana playmaker? ***

Boutte (La.) Hahnville ATH Rickey Preston tells WazzuWatch.com he'll sign with Washington State next month. The 6-foot-2, 185-pound playmaker can play receiver or defensive back at the next level. He'll come to Washington State as a receiver. J.J. Jackson gets the recruiting assists with this one.

In addition to Washington State, Preston, at one point, picked up offers from Nebraska, Southern Miss, Missouri, Tulane, McNeese State, Ole Miss and Texas A&M, Florida State, TCU and several top JUCO colleges.

He didn't sign with anyone due to academics throughout his recruitment, but he says he's on track to be qualified to arrive on campus this summer. Preston, a two-star prospect in the 2015 class, will likely sign a financial aid agreement in a similar way that Jeff Farrar did last cycle. The 2015 signing period ends on April 1, so anytime he signs after that he wouldn't count towards to initial 25 counters in this class, from my understanding.

"He has SEC talent that should resurface in the near future as an impact player for a major program," NOLA.com recruiting analyst James Smith said of Preston, who was named the East MVP of the Louisiana high School Coaches Association (LHSCA) All-Star Game in December. "Although Preston is a bit raw in his craft as a receiver, there is no questioning his ability.

"He has a good build and frame to go with his good speed and quickness. His hands are pretty good, and he shows decent body control. If he continues to work on the small things and further his development, Preston should fit nicely at a Division I program that can utilize his good size and speed. A solid all-around game would be the best way to describe what Preston possesses. He plays with toughness and it allows him to work the middle of the field and hold the edge when blocking."

We'll have more shortly. Here's his highlights: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1715379/rickey-preston

Britton Question

Do you know how the Pac12 picks All Conf Teams?

I know at many levels of football, each team gets to submit "X" amount of players. Then, depending on how many wins a team has in Conf, they are able to submit more of their players.

Usually, a coach can't vote for his player only submit their name.

Whomever doesn't gain enough votes for 1st & 2nd Team gets 3rd Team (HM) Automatically for being submitted by their school/coach.

Anyway you know if that's how the Pac12 does it ???

UPDATE: Calif. OL unofficially visits Wazzu...

As WW reported a couple weeks ago, Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) Los Osos OL Cohl Cabral unofficially visited Washington State over the last two days. It slipped my mind previously, but the 6-foot-5, 250-pound offensive tackle posted a picture of his trip on Twitter moments ago.

"Thank you to @Coach_Leach, @CoachKWils, @CoachMcGuireWSU and the rest of the WSU staff for making my visit very special," Cabral tweeted.

Cabral also holds offers from Arizona State, Boise State, California, Fresno State, Kansas, Oregon State, Utah, and Vanderbilt. The Cougars are one of Cabral's top schools. I'm working on figuring out a time to talk to him about his visit.

Jarrail Jackson

Unless I missed it, Jarrail Jackson's move to Davidson has not been mentioned here. Anyone have any speculation as to what, if any, impact on the program this will have? Or who would be his replacement. I have next to no idea as to his importance to the staff other than he was one of those chosen to step in temporarily for the displaced staff during last year's late recruiting efforts.
