UPDATE: Wazzu to host JUCO WR this weekend...

I just spoke with Mission Viejo (Calif.) Saddelback College WR C.J. Dimry, who tells me he'll officially visit Washington State this weekend. The 6-foot-6, 207-pound receiver was previously at Palomar College, but transferred to Saddleback this season.

Dimry played the 2012 season for Palomar, then redshirted last season. He transferred to Saddleback this year, playing in 10 games for the Gauchos and recording 26 catches for 541 yards and six touchdowns. He will have two to play two at the next level.

Dimry's father, Charles, played in the NFL for 12 seasons with the Falcons, Broncos, Buccaneers, Eagles and Chargers. I'm hoping to have more from Dimry shortly.

Oregon 4th best ranked (thus far in Pac), far lower than they should be

IMO, with the facilities they have, with how they have been consistently good, it should be disappointing that USC, UCLA and UW are ahead of them, with ASU and WSU not far behind.

Couple that with they are looking to get Eastern's QB, who is good, but you have to wonder when Uncle Phil is going to want to see a better ROI for his funding.

From my perspective, they have not be great on the lines, which is why they get pushed around in big games, against teams that have better size (Auburn, Ohio St.).

UPDATE: Maryland defensive ATH to visit...

According to a source, Beltsville (Md.) High Point defensive end / outside linebacker Nnamdi Oguayo will take an official visit to Washington State this weekend. I reported last week that the Washington State staff was making a late push for the 6-foot-4, 210-pound athlete, who also holds offers from Indiana, Pittsburgh, Illinois, Louisville, South Florida and Temple.

Oguayo, who is not rated by Rivals.com, has already visited Pittsburgh and Indiana, though he's highly interested in the WSU program. Coach Salave'a and JJ Jackson led the point on Oguayo's recruitment with Alex Grinch and Roy Manning jumping in now, too. He'll fly out to Pullman tomorrow.

Most schools, including Washington State, are recruiting Ogauyo as a defensive end and outside linebacker, so he fits the BUCK mold we've seen in previous Cougar defenses. I'd be surprised if Oguayo doesn't commit on his visit, for what it's worth.

I just got off the phone with Oguayo and will have full quotes shortly.

Spencer Pettit K to visit

As first reported by BR on twitter and numerous other twitters too numerous to credit ,Spencer Pettit from Clacier Peak Washington will be visiting this weekend. Pettit is rated as the 8 th best kicker Nationally by Chris Sailer Kicking. Pettit has a 53 yarder to his credit and made 5/6 from within 50 yards this year. The one kick was blocked. He is quoted as saying "I'll take the first PAC 12 offer i get.".However Leach is known for not giving out scholarships to kickers. He has already allotted one to Abramo this year. So one would think that a preferred walkon invitation will be extended with a chance to earn a scholie.Good luck to the young man

Dennis Simmons to Oklahoma?

Rumors are swirling on Twitter that Dennis Simmons interviewed for the WR coach opening at Oklahoma. This would not be great news. Especially considering the guys he is currently recruiting for us. Green, Burnett, Tezino.... Hopefully just a rumor but it sure doesn't feel like anything is going right for us in the last week of recruiting.

UPDATE: Tezino updates recruitment...

Washington State commit Kyahva Tezino officially visited San Diego State last weekend and while he says the visit was one of the best he's taken, he remains firmly committed to the Cougars.

"The visit to SDSU went really well. It was one of the best visits I've taken," Tezino said. "They definitely moved up my list, but they're still behind Washington State. As of right now, I expect to sign with Washington State."

The four-star linebacker was previously being pursued by Ole Miss, however he says that's no longer the case. He recently had an in-home visit with the entire Washington State coaching staff and loved the vibe he was getting. I'll have more from Tezino in the next day or so.

UPDATE: Quick note on Dahu Green...

The last thread has turned into our typical cesspool, so I'll start a new one here that hopefully won't stray completely off track.

Washington State receiver commit Dahu Green tells me he WILL officially visit Oklahoma this weekend after previously struggling with whether or not to visit, his coach confirms to WW. Green becomes the second Wazzu WR commit to take a visit this weekend, as Deontay Burnett with be in Ann Arbor to check out Michigan.
