How long before the riots start?

You take offense to a 4 year old link? Maybe I should do 1,000 Hail Mary's or something to atone for my sin? Of course, then I would have to learn a Hail Mary since I am not Catholic.

So you want to discuss something current? How about how Biden and his cronies have started hauling away the sections of the border wall to auction off for pennies on the dollar in order to impede Trump's plans to continue construction of the southern border wall? Besides that being actions that will intentionally cost the US government millions of dollars, how is that not essentially the reaction of a 3rd grade intellect?
I was merely noting that you say you want to talk current events yet delve into the past in your posts.

This border wall material auction was news to me. I read up on it after seeing your post. I don't know WTF the deal is here.

So this Arizona border wall thing has hit Fox and the NY Post. I'm waiting for the real facts from CNN, the beacon of all things true. BTW, anyone been watching CNN's Clarissa Ward in Syria? This chick (she's pretty hot BTW) is the bravest thing I've ever seen, Recent link below. With all the news and rumor shit flying around, how did this just hit the radar? According to the (cough) reputable news organization, previous sale(s) have taken place. I really want to understand this, beyond the "Biden is doing it to spite Trump" nonsense. Biden isn't driving a semi in Arizona. Is the stuff too rusted? Who exactly authorized this and why? And why now?

This little clip (kinda long, you get the gist in the first minute or so) of Clarissa in one of Assad's garages is just incredible. I really hope these rebels can keep all of these and the other referred-to cars intact and have a major worldwide auction. That will feed a few Syrians.

This isn't about people who support Trump. It's f#cking hypocrites who come on here and talk sh!t about black people protesting as they turn a f#cking blind eye towards white people ransacking our f#cking nation's capitol in support of a wannabe dictator who lacks the actual balls to do anything himself. Read through this thread and see all the times that idiots are trying to deflect and say "What about" as they are unwilling to acknowledge that they are f#cking hypocrites who only get mad when it's black or brown people protesting.

And for the record, black and Hispanic people can be racist towards black and Hispanic people.
Tell me you're white without telling me you're white.

That's perfect. What other DEI gems you got there, cheif?

Clarissa Ward looks like a horse.

Clarissa Ward looks like a horse.
Have you seen Loyal's list of "hot" women?

Qualifications: have female (biological) anatomy, have a pulse (maybe).
Ok guys, post pictures of your women and let's compare them to Clarissa.

And don't try to fool me with pics of Livvy Dunne or Belicheck's GF. To add, I prefer women who have other qualities in addition to good looks. Clarissa is not ugly. And she has a very svelte body. And she is one brave chick to go to all these hotspots to bring us the news. Don't see too many of Fox's or anyone else's reporters live in Kyiv, Damascus or anywhere else where they could be raped and murdered. So there.

Well first we can agree that this is a politically/partisan driven definition that y'all are certainly free to toss out there as a deflection for criticism of the president elect.

But who has the stronger case for applying it to someone? I think YOU suffer from TDS. Everything in that CNN def could easily be turned around onto trump's defenders.

For example, you cannot even bring yourself to condemn the assault on our Capitol because you know that is directly an implication of trump's doing. That's deranged. It's prevelant amongst his worshippers. That's a syndrome.

You also deflect any criticism of him as without merit simply on a belief he's being unfairly persecuted regardless of facts. That's not living in reality. Where I am quite flabbergasted that people think these protest/marches/riots all had the same amount of damage and violence and hate.

Extremely funny. +2

I prefer not to lose half my net worth by posting pics of my spouse.

And Clarissa Ward still looks like a horse. A horse who apparently has been staging her 'scoops' if you care to look that up.

Biden stops the border wall construction as soon as he got into office, I think on his first day with executive order, but it may not have been THAT quick. I recall hearing about selling the materials a couple years ago, I thought they were all gone already.

What I don't understand is a couple reports saying that the sections of wall are "junk" and cannot be used. How much damage can they have after sitting out in the heat for 4 years, and filled with concrete? Is that claim just a diversion attempt to make us think that it is okay to sell the stuff (meaning impede Trump and his MAGA gang) from continuing the wall construction? I just don't believe that those panels have suffered any damage other than possible/probable surface rust.

I love Clarissa. She's a solid news reporter right up there with Holly Williams. These ladies have been on the front lines many times over the years (Williams more so) but definitely dedicated. They seem to have no life outside of news reporting. That's all I have to say about that

She’s sorta got Jacinda Ahern vibes. Like dim the lights enough and I’d crush, but I wouldn’t go around bragging about it 🤷

So are you saying the FBI was behind 1/6?
I think the funny thing about people who want to claim it’s some big injustice that the 1/6 assholes had to face the music is two fold. For one, a bunch of them have come out publicly being truly remorseful and several of them have proclaimed they’re done w Trump because he put em up to it then walked away and was never “in it” with them.

And two, Stretch, you think they’ve been unfairly treated? Go grab a globe and point to any random spot on that globe. Chances are, wherever you landed these folks woulda been beheaded, lost limbs, or locked up in a frickin dungeon if they’d pulled that shit in said location. Now, you wanna tell me how unjust it was that some of them got some time in a minimum security country club prison and/or had to pay some restitution? GTFO, there’s a reason you live here, 99% of those folks got what they deserved and most probably deserved worse.

Not everyone agrees with your uneducated opinion about the easy life in the DC facility. And I think there are still folks being held there that haven't even gotten to trial yet.

Your post is stupid without a pic of your woman.

And Jacinda Ahern does sort of have horse teeth, but I'd do her with lights on. And I wouldn't say neigh to a 3-some with her and Clarissa either. And would brag to everyone except that I don't kiss and tell. :)

And quit talking about Jan 6.

Yeah, it's hard to imagine a scenario where people were breaking into government buildings, damaging property, stealing things and threatening to kill people where it would be something that would be blown off as a peaceful protest. You'd hope that those kind of activities would always be considered worthy of prosecution.
And let us not forget the burning down of police stations, the attacks and attempted destruction of a federal courthouse, destruction of scores of businesses, billions of dollars in damage, and the deaths of over 30 people.

Oh wait, that didn't count because the leftists have the right to blow off steam from a supposed racial act by police... or something like that.

The wall is stupid. Mexicans have proved for decades that Americans can’t build a fence or wall that they can’t get over, under, through, or around. (Who remembers the old joke: why doesn’t Mexico have a summer Olympic team?)

No type of barricade will be effective if it’s not actively monitored. Even then, Germany proved for decades that even if the wall is staffed by men with guns, people are still going to get past it.

Best way to slow down border crossings is to reduce the incentives. End the handouts, come down hard on the employers who hire illegals, and revise the birthright citizenship to require that parents have legal status themselves at the time of birth.

The wall can't stop everyone who wants to enter the US, you say?

Do you have a front door and a back door to your house that you lock?

Two big differences:

I’m not handing money to anyone who comes through my doors

There’s a guy with a gun behind my door.

As long as migrants are getting paid on this side of the border, they’re going to find a way past it. Doesn’t really matter what we build. It’s a really simple personal cost-benefit analysis - their opportunity here is much better, and the worst that happens is we catch them and send them back. Not a big deal. So it’s simple - remove the opportunity, make the sanction worse, or both. A wall doesn’t do that.

Trump and his pals are talking about efficiency and effectiveness. So don’t waste money on construction. Spend it on going after the people who are hiring illegals, and on better methods of monitoring the border. A wall is a waste of time.

So your plan is to go after farmers? They are hiring illegal immigrants. Can we count on you to pick apples or cherries or both this year?

The wall was never about effectiveness. It was always about duping the kind of dipshits who are worried about Mexicans “takin err jrrrbs” to vote for them.

If necessary, yes. And I grew up in a farming community. There would be tremendous support there for not hiring illegals.
Besides, the farming side is not where the bigger problem lies - at least not in private, family-run farms. The processing plants and corporate farms are the bigger violators. Tyson foods, ConAgra, every producer connected to McDonalds…those are your targets.

Contractor vs employee.

Same bank account.
Good. Can't seem to carve out much sympathy space for those assholes who stormed the Capitol.

With all the chatter prior to the rally I'd be immensely disappointed in the FBI if they DIDN'T have informants amongst the crowd. Good law enforcement work. You disagree? Taihtsat

Don't forget construction projects like roofing, framing and drywall. Also, we are sorely lacking in people with skills to do many of the trades today like electricians, plumbing and HVAC. Taihtsat

The complexion of a lot of those seems to have been switching back to a lighter shade recently, but there’s still a lot of shady stuff….especially in the residential development companies.

But, the other element that needs to be mixed in is that it’s got to be made easier for migrants to get work legally. Change the cost-benefit analysis for the employers too, so it’s riskier and more expensive to hire illegals, but it’s easier to hire/get people with work visas. That way we also get the benefit of their taxes too.

There would not be any support there for removing illegals. All a bunch of big fcking talkers. You are telling yourself a bullshit story to justify your bad logic. Remove the labor and replace it with who? Remove the labor and how do you pay the bank? Choose one, no illegal labor or lose the family farm? Because that is the choice. I ask again, are you gonna pick apples, cherries or both?

And what does it look like? A prison bus rolls up to a farm or processing plant…. And agents start chasing people down. Tackling them in the corn rows. Cars chasing them down the road as they try to drive away. Road blocks set up around the perimeter. Zip tieing hands behind backs and driving a busload of people away? Guns drawn or not?

It could be a pretty ugly scene that unfolds across America’s farms, schools and churches. Places that typcially have been off limits under past administrations could now be fair game.

To be clear, I dont support illegal immigration. I believe there needs to be a more dignified way to come here and stay here. Also, sometimes some people may just not get in. But the mob mentality around the president elects speeches of throwing people out and rounding people up, imo, is not the way to go about it. It could turn ugly fast.

I haven’t said anything about rounding people up, and I don’t support Trump or his ideas. I said the wall is stupid. We need to change the system to incentivize doing things the way we want them done, and disincentivize what’s being done. And do it from both ends. It’ll make the employers make the choice to find their workers another way, and make the illegals make the choice to come legally. It’s fixing the system…not just treating the symptoms, which is all the mass deportations are.

Or we could just do it your way, and do nothing while we bitch about how messed up the system is.

Please, enlighten us on how it looks when the illegals are found and removed.

While you’re at it, please enlighten us on how crops get harvested without illegals.

And for the third time, will you be picking apples, cherries or both?

I havent actually written what my way is. So stop speculating.

How do you think the farmers voted last election ? Their wallet and taxes and regulation or not having workers. My guess the former so when apples are rotting because not enough people to pick them they will just have a bigger tax right off due to losses.

I think I’ve already addressed the harvesting. Changing the system doesn’t eliminate the workers, it just changes how they’re getting here. So I don’t have to pick anything. Of course, true to form you just want to reach your own conclusions and not pay attention to what anyone actually says while you argue about the minutiae and distract from the point. We should start calling you “congressman.”

As long as any person really wants to get into your house to steal your things or assault you, why lock your doors? They'll get in if motivated enough. But of course you lock your doors like everyone does. Why? Because it makes it much more difficult.

Your idea has some merit, but there will always be nefarious actors who will work to get into the country. A wall or some other method of making it very helpful in preventing this.

I have a hard time believing that Tyson and Conagra are hiring illegal workers. How do they get them on the payroll without proper legal documents (like a SS card)? Pay cash? How do you deduct that?

Ans prison buses rolling up to farms - hell I saw that first hand as far back as the 80's. One time near Walla Walla, I was just driving by an orchard. The white vans pulled up, and I could see the workers running away from the highway.

That said, and politics aside, I am curious to see who and how is hiring illegals. Household help paid in cash, sure. Random yard workers and small construction projects that aren't tax deductible, sure. But I don't see how legitimate, tax filing and paying companies can get away with it. Speaking as an accountant who used to do W-2's for orchards where half of the W-2's had names with no SS numbers. The orchardists just paid the nominal fine for filing incomplete tax forms. But that was decades ago. Can't imagine that happening today. Maybe it does, but I would like to see and know more.......
