Well, I see that you haven't yet gotten any treatment for your raging case of Trump Derangement Syndrome. I really think you would be happier if you did seek help.
Really nice that you are so quick to disregard Hillary and her use of the private server and blatantly did security violations that undoubtedly exposed the US to being hacked by bad foreign actors. Also that you are happy to allow her to destroy evidence that was under investigation (and I think subpoena). She clearly and blatantly broke United States law and put our country at risk and you are just fine with that. I find that disgusting.
I figured it was not the NPR link, just had to send a little dig. As I already said, I didn't know anything about the other two sites, still don't really, as I don't recall ever visiting either of them before.

Ed, I fail to understand the whole "you never ever take the meeting" stance. Someone calls you saying they have info that will hurt your opponent in an election, do you really expect everyone except Trump to turn it down?
What if it wasn't a setup and information was actually provided proving that Hillary and Bill were taking bribes from the Russians? If you then do the right thing and go to the FBI with that info you have done a service for our country. If it turns out to be nothing, it is a "no harm, no foul" situation, which is what happened. Where the Trump's would get in trouble is if they are asked for favors IN EXCHANGE for the information and they agree to it. THAT would be a problem.
I know you don't get it. That is the chasm. Should Aldrich Ames forgo a "meeting" with a Russian asset just because they are from a foreign country that has nukes at us? An my answer is yeah, that should be off the table.
Just as taking a meeting with a foreign adversary that has nukes pointed at us is beyond taboo. It would be like if Obama took a meeting with Iran to help beat McCain in 2008. That is beyond what is acceptable.
Again, what if Mayor Marion Berry was set up by a rival candidate? Does it some how make that he accepted blow from a hooker and other things simply political "stuff" and that is acceptable.

Almost all sources of information are processed thru media.
Yes you could in theory go-to the FBI, or if FBI wrong source, a FBI like government agency that right agency, and do a FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT request to get the actual Steel Dossier, to verify that the Dossier has the info that showed that Hillary went to Russians and then follow the paper trail.
You are aware that doing such a investigation on your own, would take weeks, months, years to do, and that it's better to try to get the info from a hopefully accurate, trustworthy, credible source?
Unfortunately because of how things work, we are stuck relying on textbooks, history books, new sources, and have a HARD time going to the ORIGINAL source, document, etc, to see for ourselves, do our own investigations, draw our own conclusions, etc.
The problem with your example is that Berry actually accepted the illegal inducements, the Trump's did not.
Speaking of Iran, do we need to now indict John Kerry for going over there as a private citizen and negotiating things with them that he had no right to do? Sounds like that is what you are proposing, since he DID "take a meeting" with an enemy of the US.
That's not what I said at all. I said that Republicans are dumb to bash on the Trump charges if they felt that Hillary should have gone to jail. Both "crimes" are pretty damned weak sauce. What makes it hilarious is when you recall that Trump's staff was guilty of having emails on unsecured phones as well but that got swept under the rug. No problem with my example. You don't take the meeting. And if you take it under false pretenses you notify people the Russians are trying to influence our elections. If he took the meeting out of a rookie mistake, yeah I am ok with it if it was reported to the FBI and dad says in summer of 2016, my son made a rookie mistake out of exuberance. Second, with Kerry, probably at best ill-advised. But he served as a secretary of state and had dealings and I would hope his meetings were to help the US and not his own personal interest. (what US interests did Trumps meeting serve) However, if Bill Barr who was the AG looked into his dealings and felt they were in violation I certainly would have no problem.
And there are two really stark differences. One, Iran while an adversary, we didn't spend billions in a cold war. Small difference but a difference.
Two, Kerry while maybe illegal, did so because he had experience in that realm and doesn't appear to have individual motives in there.

It's pretty astounding to me that the blind hatred of Trump totally obscures Joe Biden's incompetence, corruption and immunity to any type of criticism or investigation.

I would venture to say for those who dislike Trump, it is more of a feeling of sadness. At least that is what I have. That the Republican party has to be in lock step with him or the base will turn on him. Locally that works. Doesn't appear to be working state and federally. I am sad it is his party is so mesmerized by the power he holds. You know, not even John Gotti would go after the prosecutors, judges or their family. He and his people do something even the mafia won't do. The case in Manhatten is a speeding ticket compared to what is brewing.
I also am sad for Trump. Seriously, a guy who making 300k as a three year old, father bailed him out twice, filed bk numerous times cause he couldn't manage his buildings (which means the trades...plumbers, electricians etc for example either got wiped out or paid 10 cents on the dollar), had his CFO, Lawyer, campaign manager serve prison time for him, could freely grab woman by the pword, bang a porn star in an adulterous affair with a six month at home, bang a playmate while he was married and have a tabloid pay her off, call out his VP and have people looking for him to possibly cause harm...and seriously, when is a guy like that gonna catch a break?

At least half the registered dem voters would like Biden to step away after four years. They want young and fresh. He kept open too long the sugar high Trump started with Covid.
On the other side his infrastructure and chips bill make sense to me. We gave China their economy the last 40 years and it is coming home to roost.

What I like most is he isn't Agent Orange. There is not drama every day. I like several of the bills he has initiated. Appreciate what he has done with NATO and Ukraine.
I would like someone smoother and quicker on their feet. But he never has been. I would like someone younger.

But here are full stops for me. Undermining an election once the courts said no. Going after Gold Star families and a 16 year old autistic girl cause of criticizing a president. If I find out Biden said "investigate Trump" to our AG and find whatever you can.
