***WSU @ Zona - Game Thread***

We absolutely CANNOT stop giving our opponents outstanding field position. Unreal. And there goes an absolute monster run. Explosive plays...

And Cats retake the lead. In a bizarre turn of events this year, MAJOR letdown there in which the ST and defense let down the offense
Yeah Dotson stuffs that in the hole though. Not sure WTF Rogers was doing.

Through almost 3 quarters:
  • UA avg starting position: 37 yard line
  • WSU avg (defensive turnovers): 34
  • WSU avg (no turnovers) 23

Oh boy. Tyler cannot stop throwing interceptions. Connor Halliday 2.0. Throwing in motion across his body. And the booth is OVERJOYED

What a huge turnaround,
Cougs 1st and goal and then a bad decision by Tyler.
UA with a long run for a TD

Tyler is going through a learning curve this game but it might be worth it in the long run.

UA 37- Cougs 27
Three minutes left in the 3rd.
But this is not over yet.

Yeah learning on the fly. Trying to do too much. Still take his play over the pansie ass crap Falk has been giving.

I love #25

Why can't we have something between Connor Halliday and Luke Falk. Tyler looks way better throwing but won't check to a run and takes too many chances ala Halliday.

Part of it is the structure of the offense. If Leach is calling a pass, and you’re Hilinski, are are you to check out of it?

Tyler showing some inexperience.
A fumble there at the end of the quarter.
Too bad because he has shown a good arm and mobility.

A few runs might help out but others have already called out for this.

Through 3 quarters, UA has 8 explosive plays:
  • 43-yard pass
  • 48-yard pass
  • 41-yard pass
  • 82-yard run
  • 45-yard kick return
  • 33-yard kick return
  • 62-yard run
  • 79-yard run
We have:
  • 21-yard pass
  • 22-yard pass
  • 24-yard pass
  • 30-yard pass
Totally, totally insane to think that we've given up 430+ yards on 8 plays.

Yeah I know that. But it's been pass like 20 straight. And we have good backs. And AZs run defense sucks.

I’d like to put hot pepper spray on the toilet paper of whoever does that f’ing siren in their stadium

Rich rod can STFU about that PI in the first half. Two PIs in a row on AZ not called leads to game over.

Welp, that's the game. Arizona's the better team
Indeed. It's too bad. Hilinski is a real gunslinger, which makes the offense less "constipated," but literally never checks into a run and throws way too many inadvisable cross-body throws etc. Falk is what it looks like when you try to be mistake-free, but realize that just means 3-and-outs on every drive.
