Buying a $27 ticket to WSU vs SJSU, if I can get a ride from Spokane.

If you're going alone and just need one ticket, I'd wait until the day of the game and get one on Stubhub. Doesn't help with your travel issue, but you'll get a much better seat for the same money (or conversely, a meh seat for half of you are planning to spend now).
Agreed. Any of the ticket websites...Stubhub, Ticketmaster....will substantially drop the prices the evening before or the morning of the game.

I don't understand this bickering. We just beat the bastards. We have a 4 game home and home agreement. We need that home game next year, because it will be a stretch to find 3 more home games against any FCS teams, let alone Power 4. The MW ain't gonna oblige, and our future league mates have filled schedules already. So we may be looking at 4 home games (who I don't know but they will suck), and away games at Stanford, Cal and Ole Miss. And still needing one more.
The bickering is easy.

It's called **** fuw.

See? Easy.

I'd rather play Oregon at Oregon every year than play fuw at fuw or in Seattle which is really no different than fuw.

They were down 4 so they had to have a td
You’re thinking of when they had the ball. We made the 4th down stop and took over with a 24-19 lead.

We didn’t get a first down on our own, so taking a safety on 4th down would have made it 24-21 and they’d need a FG to tie.

I didn’t like that as an option, but it was better than punting from our endzone. Their penalties made it moot.

Mik, I’d give you a lift but I can’t go, my kids got a HS game that night.

Someone step up and give our boy Mik a ride!

Thanks. I'm also posting something like this in the Die Hard Cougs, Die Hard Cougar Fans, Facebook group, fan sites.

Also if I can't make it to the WSU, SJSU game, then Maybe there is another WSU home game that I could goto on the schedule, before Nov 4th, that I can get a ride to, that the tickets would be in the affordable to me, $27 to $37 range.

Also if there is a bus that go from Spokane to game that doesn't cost more then $85 to $100 to $115, and if the ticket is cheap enough to go with that, so that not paying more then $133, then I could maybe, probably do that.

I was doing exactly the same thing. I figured at one point that we'd take the safety. After a free kick from the 20, based on Janikowski's previous punts, and assuming we got good coverage I figured UW would take over at midfield with 30-35 seconds left. They'd need to make 15-20 yards to get in position to tie.

It wasn't an attractive option, and I didn't feel good about it. The penalties were a nice gift, we should all send Valdez a thank you card.

Buying a $27 ticket to WSU vs SJSU, if I can get a ride from Spokane.

I am planning on buying about a $27 to $40 ticket to the WSU, SJSU game, if I can get a ride from Spokane, and if I can either find a place to stay in Spokane, or get a ride home from Spokane.

The reason I need to either stay in Spokane, or get a ride home from Spokane, is that the bus to Spokane only runs Monday thru Friday, 9 am to 4:30 pm.

So I can get to Spokane, for the ride to the game from Spokane.

Also is there a Bus, that go from Spokane to the game, in case can't get a ride?

This may be my last chance to goto a WSU game in Martin Stadium, as sometime between Nov 4th at extreme earliest to April 4th at the latest I am very probably moving to Phoenix Arizona area to be closer to daughter.

I have my 2011 19 ft Travel Trailer RV in storage at a friend's place.

I have about $750 saved up, and saving about $150 to $265 a month, and going to pay either a Snowbird friend $1000 to $1350 to take me, trailer down there, or a shipping company about $1650 to ship my RV down there.

And there is about 3,4,5,6 RV Lot places, that rent RV Lots for about $550, $600, $650 a month, that affordable for my budget, and just need to wait for a opening.

If 1 of those don't open up, then my fall back, will be the Ben Avery Campground Shooting Range that if get a $25 a month shooting membership, then for $120 a week can stay for 168 straight days, 168 days out of year, before have to leave, can't rent again until the next year.

The Ben Avery Campground has full RV hook ups, water, dump, etc.

The Campground is 1,2,3, couple, few, semi some miles, very close to extremely close to North Phoenix.

If I have to fall back to Ben Avery Campground, I will be pounding the pavement, so to speak, working my butt off, etc, every day to find a permanent place to move to.

No shit. Is the point winning or money? Continuing to play uw is a half measure as mentioned above. If the point is to win, then schedule cupcakes. If the point is money, schedule the body bags.
You miss the fact that we just did both. It isn't all or nothing. At this point we clearly don't have to choose one or the other. Taihtsat

Ok, if you are 75 your young son must be about 45. WTH kind of upbringing did he have that you had to explain this? He must have gone to UI. :)

That said, a safety would have been dicey - then a FG would have tied it. I rewatched the very end, the one F-up that I see was Mateer running it out of the shotgun on first down and losing yardage. Should have been under center in the I formation on that one. But thanks mutts for bailing us out.
I don't run shotgun inside my 5. At that position, a botched snap is catastrophic. Run high percentage plays, and take your time. Never snap with more than 3 on the playclock.

I would think, if the contract was that beneficial for us, they would've disclosed the details to the faithful by now? To ease concerns?
57,000+ in attendance. Assume an average price of $150, which in reality is probably low, since the cheap seats were $95. That's $8.5M in ticket sales alone.

Advertising and media money probably more than paid for the facility use and staffing. I doubt we got a piece of concessions, the Seahawks probably kept that. Probably got a piece of merchandise sales though.

I wouldn't be too surprised if we cleared that $4M number.

I was busy explaining the logic of taking a safety to my son but thankfully the Huskies made that unnecessary.

Tennessee set to add 10% 'talent fee' to tickets to fund plan for revenue sharing with players

Tennessee athletics is adding a groundbreaking "talent fee" to season and single-game tickets in order to help fund proposed revenue sharing with athletes. Vols athletic director Danny White announced the decision in a video sent out to Volunteer fans on Tuesday morning.
As part of the plan, Tennessee will add a 10% premium charge to tickets that will go directly to athletes starting with 2025 season tickets. After the Volunteers reached 20 wins over the last two years for the first time in decades, Tennessee football season tickets are projected to increase an additional 4.5%
"We will continue to grow our other revenue streams and be efficient with our expenses to maximize the anticipated full revenue share allotment," Tennessee said in a statement obtained by 247Sports. "There has never been a time in college sports where revenue growth had such a close correlation to winning. We strive to equip our coaches with all the resources needed to compete at a championship level and create the best opportunities for Tennessee student-athletes."
Tennessee was one of the earliest and most aggressive adopters of NIL when the system was instituted in 2021. The NCAA previously attempted to investigateTennessee for alleged NIL violations in February, but the Volunteers sued and ultimately earned a temporary injunction against the NCAA enforcing any NIL rules.
The revenue share is also dependent on finalization of the House v. NCAAlawsuit, which opens the door to direct athlete compensation from athletic departments. The projected settlement would allow athletic departments to compensate athletes directly up to approximately $22 million. However, the two sides have not yet finalized the agreement.

I will admit I hated this game until last week. That’s coming from someone who’s been to like 13 of the last 15 ACs. I still don’t think it should be called the AC anymore but I digress. We need this game on the calendar. You’ve got to take the emotions out of it. And it was damn fun to win it.
My only complaint is that I've spent the last 3 days searching for some mutt so I can give them shit. No luck. Of course I'm sure they all tucked their mutt shirts and hats away. I have seen a few Cougs though. Ran into this one Hispanic guy at Winco in a WSU shirt. I had mine on and gave him the "Go Cougs" and pointed to his shirt. The guy had no clue what I was talking about.

WSU should release the numbers. I'm sure the CAF and Collective see spikes during Apple Cup week.

People also still think Rolo was a good coach loyal. Emotion is the enemy of reason.

We make generate more revenue playing the Apple Cup than we would any other game by a wide margin. Body bag games are just that. We get a check for the agreed upon amount. Apple Cup games earn heavy residuals from Coug attendance (hope and away), merchandise sales, tailgating revenue, etc.

How much total revenue is a home apple cup game worth to WSU and Whitman County?
Let's see the numbers then.

I frankly don't care about what a Apple Cup means to "Whitman County." The City of Pullman doesn't even bother putting some cops on duty after games for traffic control.
