UPDATE: Three-star WR to attend Jr. Day...

Rohnert Park (Calif.) Rancho Cotate WR Chris Taylor-Yamanoha will be in Pullman for Washington State's junior day on March 28, his father tells WW. The 6-foot-1, 167-pound athlete is rated three-stars by Rivals and ranked the No. 82 receiver in the nation.

"Taylor-Yamanoha is another California-based receiver that currently has double-digit offers and would likely get more publicity if he were part of any other class," Rivals analyst Adam Gorney said of the three-star at Pylon 7v7. "He showed a knack for getting open and was particularly impressive on out routes toward the sideline, using good body control to overpower cornerbacks."

In addition to Washington State, Taylor-Yamanoha holds offers from Boise State, California, Colorado State, Louisville, Nevada, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Jose State, Utah and Utah State. He's also expected to visit Louisville soon.

As a junior, Taylor-Yamanoha hauled in catches for 845 yards and 15 touchdowns.

UPDATE: New offer out to Memphis '18 OL w/ quote...

Washington State is the latest offer for Memphis (Tenn.) Harding Academy 2018 OL Will Lawrence, he announced today. The 6-foot-4, 280-pound offensive tackle prospect also holds offers from Alabama, Arizona State, Florida State, Ole Miss, Ohio State, Texas, Texas A&M and many others.

Lawrence says he's been in contact with Mike Leach and Clay McGuire multiple times this week. His father, Tom, reached out to share an interesting nugget on his son's recruitment and their admiration for Leach and the Air Raid offense, among other things.

"I have followed Coach Leach for many years and think a lot of his approach to offense," Lawrence's father said. "Also, Will really wants to play in a passing offense. We have vacationed some in that part of the country and love it, so I think WSU could be a school that he gives real consideration to down the road."

UPDATE: New offer out to 2017 OL...

Washington State is the second offer in as many days for Phoenix (Ariz.) North Canyon 2017 OL Austin Jackson. The 6-foot-5, 230-pound offensive tackle prospect was offered by Arizona State yesterday, and also holds an offer from Washington.

Jackson is teammates with 2016 WR John Okwoli, who also picked up an offer from Washington State this week. Surprisingly, North Canyon was 0-11 last season.

BREAKING: Cougs pickup 2015 safety...

River Ridge (La.) John Curtis 2015 DB Hunter Dale will sign with Washington State to play football and baseball, he announced on Monday during a ceremony at his school. As we reported last night, this was likely to happen and I had been hearing it for a little over a week. This is a massive pickup for both baseball and football.

UPDATE: New offer out to 6-6 WR...

Long Beach (Calif.) St. Anthony WR Logan Gamble picked up an offer from Washington State today, he announced on Twitter. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound wide receiver also holds offers from Arizona and San Diego State. He also plays defensive end.

Gamble is a former basketball player, who has only been playing football for a couple years. He's unofficially visiting Arizona this weekend ahead of The Opening regional event. He's an intriguing prospect who'll pick up a solid haul of offers this cycle.

UPDATE: Notes on potential late additions...

I continue to hear that Washington State could be a potential landing spot for three-stars safety Hunter Dale out of River Ridge (La.) John Curtis. The 2015 prospect, who was previously committed to Nebraska for a short time last summer, did not sign with anyone on signing day. Other schools that were in the mix for Dale included Florida, Mississippi State and Miami.

He'll be making his college decision at 1:30 p.m. ET tomorrow, though he recently told Rivals analyst Jason Howell that he is not naming favorites until revealing his decision. At this time, I have been unable to confirm that Washington State is a serious player for the No. 32 safety in the country, but a source said last week that defensive coordinator Alex Grinch has maintained consistent dialogue with Dale, who was being recruited by Grinch at Missouri.

In addition to Washington State, Dale picked up offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Louisville, Miami, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Penn State, Tennessee, UCLA, Utah and many others.

The Cougars are also looking at picking up a wide receiver transfer. A new target could be Oklahoma State's Rashaad Samples, who announced his intent to transfer last week.

Other receivers who the staff has at least checked on is Tennessee's Vic Wharton and Texas A&M's Kyrion Parker. Wharton, according to a source, is tentatively scheduled to take an official visit to Washington State next weekend and make a decision shortly after. His mother, who's not 100 percent plugged in to the situation, confirmed that he would "probably be visiting."

UPDATE: A few new offers incl. Rivals250 QB...

I was up in Canada this weekend for a buddy's bachelor party, so I'm just getting caught up on what I missed over the weekend, but it looks like Coug1990 helped me out by posting a new quarterback offer that went out this weekend. There's a few others, too.

New quarterback offer out...

Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Tesoro QB Devon Modster picked up an offer from Washington State late this week The 6-foot-2, 215-pounder is rated four-stars by Rivals and the No. 7 pro-style quarterback in the 2016 class.

Modster is also the No. 216 overall player in nation and holds offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Boise State, California, Colorado State, and UNLV in addition to the Cougars. As a senior, Modster threw for 2,500 yards and 24 touchdowns. He added 700 rushing yards and 16 scores on the ground.
