3 field goals not taken. 1st quarter

2 attempts not taken

First 4th down try was from too far out for a field goal try, but the overall point still stands.

Would have missed all of them. Helps when your WR can catch a ball that hits them in the hands. Also Ross held the crap out if our WR on one if the 4th downs and no call. Thank you P12 refs again.

Would not have missed all of them. Ludicrous.

On a night when too many kids were mentally unprepared to execute, the 4th down "go for it" decisions were poor. They would all have been different if the kids had been able to do the fundamental things…run the proper pattern, catch the ball, and so forth. And of course, hindsight is 20/20. But in hindsight it is clear that what ever passes for focus and concentration were in short supply amongst our receivers last night. And that was the single most significant factor in how the game evolved and finished.

Yup. Too mNy dropped passes and this was again supposed to be from the WR Corp. A group that was supposed to be the strength of this team. plus, it wasn't the 1 ST time this season this group underperformed again. very frustrating and disappointing.

Our D may be trash but they were fired up, and I was really impressed with the effort @ ASU. We would have been singing their praises if our offense didn't give ASU the ball 5x and ask our D to defend those drives, too.

In the AC, we made it to half-field to open the game, our D is psyched, and their O has been a big letdown this year. Should have punted and made them climb uphill. Instead we give them a golf handicap and let them play from midfield. Not all 4th downs had to be FGs; some should have been punts. But coughing it up and giving their crap offense and our increasingly sketchy defense a short field several times, the game was over before it began. And then we coughed it up again, and again, and again.

On the other hand, someone on "Brand Y" said he watched our kicker miss 6 practice FGs from the 30 at halftime. Don't know out of how many, but still pretty alarming. We should have been less reluctant to punt though, as they got half their points or more off of short fields.

The first fourth down attempt was the only one I didn't like- punt and try to pin them deep there.
