Not sure I’d chalk that up to blind stubbornness as much as it is personnel. Doesn’t appear that Our DBs can compete physically with SCs receivers, so our best option is to dial up the pressure. If pressure doesn’t get home, they’ll shred us in the air. But if we don’t blitz at all...they’ll shred us in the air, and maybe on the ground.

I like that the defense has time to react to where the ball is going because de Laura uses his entire body to throw the ball and it takes him 5 seconds to release it. It’s like a pitcher’s windup.

It is a tough spot to be in. Adding numbers upfield and reducing numbers downfield doesnt help if they cant sack the qb. Its just 1 or 2 less guys in pass coverage.
