"A lot of people" think CJR will win big? That is funny.

Brand Z (Diehard Cougs) subscribers think he's a big improvement over Wake Jake.

And beer sales? Don't hold your breath. On the tent city - do you really want to go to Pullman, sleep in a tent, then go to the game? Where do you bathe? And how does that work in late October and November? And what about bathing?

Now one option might be to turn Beasley into a big indoor camping spot. There you WOULD have bathroom and even shower facilities. Even concessions. Hey, even beer sales! Might conflict with early season basketball though. But then there is Bohler and the other gyms. Silly maybe, but more inventive than "we have a lot of land".

You make a lot of good points as usual.

But Ann McCoy and her team seem to think a temporary campground is gonna be a solid money maker — or why else would they go to all the trouble of putting it together, trucking in water, honey buckets, etcetera?

I'd be shocked if the tent city thing happens. Too many practical hurdles and too much liability for an organization that isn't very good at practical details and is averse to any liability.

If CJR wins big (which a lot of people think he will), there'll be SRO (even for an undeserving addition like TX ST)

Don't forget beer sales and the tent city Ann McCoy will offer overnighters

Expanding on this. I looked at WSU's FY24 EADA Report (link below). It says we had 10 FT FB coaches and 4 PT (Grad assistants). Now we have 17 FB coaches and 4 Grad Assts.

In Compliance - we have a Deputy AD, Director, Associate Director and an Asst Director. 4 in all. When I was at WSU we had 2. And we don't have more athletes. Plus, shouldn't Compliance be easier since there aren't any rules to follow anymore?

Video/Marketing, etc. I count 8 staff, gotta hunt around, they are in 3 departments, Not counting the 3 that are in the FB staff totals. Or the 5 people in the Media area.

Bloat, bloat, bloat.

Oh and footnote for you semi-literates. It's Anne McCoy, not Ann.
I’ll stick with Fonzie

Don't forget the 3 employees for "employee experience."

Kohberger defense takes more defeats...

New information in the Idaho Statesman from one of the Boise journalists covering the trial.

Door Dash driver expected to testify at trial that she saw Kohberger
A witness who can visibly ID him at the scene just before the murders? If that's all accurate, I think that would qualify as a bombshell.

Of course, eyewitnesses are not necessarily the most reliable, and the defense will immediately point out that it was dark, it was cold, there are lots of white cars, and how reliable can you be if you're a 40+ DoorDash driver? They'll do everything they can to make her look stupid and unreliable.

It's also a bit of a concern that this is leaking before trial and she's on YouTube talking about it?

How very WSU.

We're cutting a portion of a program that has relatively low costs, but we're not looking at the fact that we have 9 deputy/associate athletic directors, 17 coaches 4 GAs and 14 staff for football alone, 5 in the athletics business office - distinct from the 7 in CAF, 1 in branding, and 4 in marketing and promotions, 1 in social media and 2 more in creative video. Athletics has 186 staff members listed on their website. But yeah....shotput and javelin are probably the bigger waste of money.
